Johnny Hubbard 280
Fifa spokesman said they wouldn't get involved now that the matter had been feferred back to the SFA. So much for the shite we've been getting in the papers the last week or so. All that "hammer them" stuff....complete pishSo there'll be no extra sanctions and SFA have to decide on a punishment that was previously considered "too lenient" or "too hard"wonder what the'll go for ? Broxi 11,504
I would take a simple Scottish Cup ban and nothing else. Only 2-4 matches you play normally anyway and we can live without it this year. Would rather be able to keep signing players like Rino
Guest
There is absolutely no reason why FIFA should get involved unless it was to punish the SFA. There are too many fantasists within Scotland with wishful thinking regarding our situation.

theweebluenose 4,332
I found it strange why there was no official statement from FIFA, shows how desperate they are to hammer us.

bluesbro1976 162
So all the pish that they were apparently going to prevent us playing anywhere in the world is yet another wishful prayer to all our hate filled enemies! Yaaas, another one bites the dust.Banned from scottish cup for a year, wm hill wonkt be happy, but even less so if they tried to hit us with a longer ban. .... They are all running out of options. It was suggested that rangers will just either acccept rtheir fate or take initial sanction. Why would they wanna go and do that? Is there no end to the stupidness of the mhedia? Yeah, we will go to court to legally fight against a sanction you did not have the authority to impose, get the SFA to cover the legal fees, then all of a sudden you want us to now ust accept it. We are not hypocrites. Keep that kind of shenannigans to the corridors of park circus and hampden! Long live the gers !!
HHB 63
FIFA were never going to get involved .......First, the Court of Session asserted its jurisdiction over the SFA. FIFA are not stupid enough to get into a pissing match with the courts of a sovereign country and an EU member to boot.Second, Rangers won in court and the SFA clearly cocked up. For FIFA to try to intervene would be to risk being held in contempt of court.FIFA are an unscrupulous and corrupt bunch. But they are far from stupid and they understand how to play politics. That means you only pick a fight where you think you can win. FIFA couldn't win this one and they knew it.
Alnic3856 358
Somewhere in Scotland there is a wee YTS, BBC wanttobe journo breaking his wee green fucking heart that his first type up was a positive story as to how Rangers are not getting fucked by the overlords at FIFA. The poor wee bastard might never recover from the psychological trauma, I think it's only fair that we, as bears and fine upstanding citizens of the union do what any of us would expect done and send this poor wee mite union flags, empire biscuits, bags of seed tatties and shiny 50p coins endorned with Lizzies heed so that he may forget this sad moment and get back to his normal lifestyle as soon as is practicable poor wee soul....Spare a thought for THEM at this time of good news for us and a celebration of our unity GSTQ!! Guardian 4,281
Like many others I said the idea of FIFA getting involved was stupid and a myth created by Timmy to wind us up.FIFA's rules are to keep stuff out of court and within the FA's.This was already the case with Rangers, so opening up a can of worms to tackle something that had already been dealt with was always a non starter.Maybe this will teach some to stop believing everything the tims in the media spout.
