Its far too much for a 35 year old keeper and as you say even 6k a week is far to high for 3rd tier football. I would love to see Smith/Gallacher even Currie getting games to prove if they can make it in the first team and im disapointed that since the league was won weeks ago Ally has not given these lads their chance. Bell is a good keeper for SPL level and should be our first choice if he signs but we should not forget about our younger keepers or they might want to leave and that would be a waste of potential talent.

I am afraid bud if McCoist gets his way he will buy in players whenever he thinks he needs them just like his mentor used to do, rearing your own and giving them time to progress in the first team is a no-no....................once McCoist is free to use the transfer market its back to the Smith days.

Forget every player in England or the SPL listed there, Nicky Clark is exactly the type of player we should be signing. 20k is exactly what we should be spending on a player to help us win the 2nd Division!

Totally agree DV boys like Clark and Lyle Taylor are the type of lads we should be going for.....................sadly it looks like McCoist wants guys like Daly,Miller, Novo and co. if this comes to pass in two seasons time we will be skint and needing to replace has-been's just as we enter the top flight............and yet people think McCoist is the man.

Bell apart not an inspiring list of targets.

Really?

The Dundee Utd captain.

A 24 year old attacking midfielder in Law

The honduran is young and we know nothing at all about him

2x championship players

and the guy that just totaly ripped the arsehole out of the league we are about to go play in

hard to please some people I guess

Its up to the board to tell him no you cant spunk the cash then, however im less and less confident that the board have the bottle to do this since Charles left

We only need one experienced keeper for next year....

Sorry, can't agree. If we only had one experienced keeper and he got injured we could end up missing out on the league. We can't afford to be hanging around in Div.2 if we want to attract as much as we can from sponsorship or investment.

You can just imagine Smith bullying the other board members into giving McCoist what he wants.
