LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,540
Boyd, Miller and Novo seem to be the popular ones. Seen a thread on here today about Bougherra too. Think we should be looking forward instead of looking to sign our old players all the time especially as the ones being mentioned are all the wrong side of 30. neilstonloyal 186
Have you seen our team and the league we are in
TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
It's funny, because we must have some of the most bitter fans about when it comes to players who have left us.
LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,540
Yes, which is why I don't want players like Miller and Novo who are both past it and expensive to be brought in when we are pissing the division with what we have. *Manticore* 1,893
Because we used to have better players.
STEPPS BOY 77,643
Would Boyd and Miller strengthen our team at the moment?No-one could deny they would.
BLUEDIGNITY 34,090
Probably because we have fans who have a fascination about starting threads about ex-players who may or may not re-sign !

devref 201
the only one I would have back from reasonably recent years is arteta the only one still showing any sign of class.
bombaybadboy08 15,660
Rangers long term future doesn't matter, as long as we have a team that hates the tims.

Drunk and disorderly. 15,081
Bores me thinking of ex players coming back.We need to take a different path.Progression not regression!
LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,540
Would Boyd and Miller strengthen our team at the moment?No-one could deny they would.Miller playing would hinder the progress of Clark IMO. Don't need him and he's all about coming back to Rangers until another club offers him a more lucrative deal and you don't see him for dust. tannerall 25,935
This is wisely being suggested because they have what it takes to be a Rangers player and be successfulWe need proven players over the next year or two who will take us back to the Premier and be solid enough to compete straight away, (and perhaps pick up a cup or two in the process). Once re-established, we then have the safety net of investment, TV, and possibly European money. Experienced ex Rangers players on a two year contract regardless of age is a no-brainer to ensure this , finances allowing.
MrMccoist 204
Boyd yes, Miller No Nacho. Thanks for the memories but noThat should be it.
Brian Fantana 28,894
Scoutings non existant so we look at what we know rather than broaden our horizons. Plus, most of the ex players were beast skelpers, they had an affinity for the club
Guardian 4,281
Andy Goram and Mark Hateley could still do us a turn. They were great when they were here last time.
Fan Ownership 101
I think you have to assess what they'd cost and what they can still offer.Boyd is a prime example; would probably cost very little, and can score goals to win you top-tier titles.Miller? Not so much any more.I'd be lying if I said I'd seen Bougherra.

LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,540
Govou Ah I remember that one. Paul Le Guen was on his way so The Sun decided that we were signing every half decent player from Ligue 1. Pretty sure Govou was quoted a couple of seasons after that saying he'd never have signed for us.
billtjw 20
Boyd was a laughing stock in the MSL, there opinion was if this fat useless c... is the all time leading scorer in the Scotish league no wonder they can not qualify for a world cup.
