I thought that was outstanding, Scotland has evolved to stand up for freedom in the modern world, not by the old-fashioned way of picking up a sword, but by championing equality of; race, human rights, education, gender, sexual orientation and personal freedom. So unbelievably proud to be Scottish.

I'd check the suspension on the car too - did you see it bouncing around?!

Naw mate, it started here at 5.30 this morning so I wasn't getting up to cop an eyeful of that pigsty first thing after getting out of bed.

I think the cook recorded it though, so I'll check it out later

I have to say I missed any comments. I'm just chuffed that Red White and Blue dominated the sky above that place and the National Anthem was sang loudly

Does that include freedom of speech in Scotland and the right to equality from the elected leaders of GCC, Gordon?

Great to hear a minute's silence (for the victims of the Malsysian air disaster) being respected - did not think that was possible st that cesspit. Difference was tonight there were no Tims to disrespect the dead.

Loved the blue lighting everywhere - perhaps you CAN polish a turd after all?

See all that green seats. Some things never change lol.

What a cringe worthy ceremony though.Perfect venue for it.

This ! Ironic too that the theme, which was to cover up a total shambles was looking after the children? At the glitterdome? We know a song about that don't we Billy !

Why is their name lit up on stand roof,no need for it to be.Why do the commentators keep saying celtic park at every opportunity.

yes Scott ,why they not referring to it as the rancid piggery or the Scumdome .Both appropriate names around the Country :-)

My wife and I watched a bit of that opening ceremony and were both embarrassed for the people of Scotland. The first 30 minutes or so were incredibly unprofessional and cringeworthy, it was like watching and listening to a children's programme.

About 20 mins in our home phone rang and it was my sister in law ringing to say the exact same thing. Oh my word that was the worst and most ridiculous ceremony I have ever witnessed, and it has nothing to do with it being in that shit hole either. Feel sorry for you Scottish guys, just WTF were the organisers thinking?
