Guest
We have plenty SPL class players, we need an SPL class manager.
BridgeIsBlue 66,654
Ally has had 2 years to build a team,a caller on RangersChat after the game yesterday made a cracking point.Since that game against Brechin in the Ramsdens Cup,has our tactics or style of play changed? We all know the answer. KeyserSoze 14,696
If he doesn't have the ability we should have sacked him years agoagreed but we didn't though, we all wanted to give him a chance initially, by which time he was winning the league by a country mile and our board could see the dollar signs of the SPL looming large.and that will continue until he loses enough matches to make the possibility of promotion out this shit hole of a league less likely. gersandy 594
Im sick to the back teeth of hearing about people moaning about McCoist now. These same people that hailed him as the "saviour". We dont do walking away and all that crap. My dad had McCoists card marked when walter was still manager. Supposedly picking teams for the cup games, making a howling c*nt of it.McCoist reaped the benefits of us going into administration and liquidation. Our situation took eyes off how bad a manager McCoist is. He didnt do walking away from a £800k a year job. Oh hes a legend for taking a £400k a year cut. How did he scrape by on £400k. If he gave 1 toss about rangers he'd have stepped down after the Maribor game. The sad thing is, as a boy growing up in 9IAR, i had McCoist 9 on the back of every top. Done the McCoist knees up celebrarion every time i scored. He'll now stick in my memory as a useless boss, who didnt know when to call it a day. campsieloyal 104
It should be easy, ive been slated at work for saying we should win by at least 10 points the only thing that could stop us is Ally. Second highest wage bill in Scotland, only realistic competition hibs and hearts totally rebuilt squads in the summer and the players look as if they have just met each other last week

HG5 11,411
This has been the mantra since league 2 the same rhetoric over and over again - "the next game is massive, a tipping point, we will be lucky to win...." yet still we plough on.And you know what a plough makes?.......Ruts!FYI, we've LOST 3 of the last 4 'massive' matches, 2 on our own park. The other one was a draw at 90 mins - against 10 men! We're in a bloody rut, alright. nachothelegend 1,932
better there than here.Haven't we been humiliated enough?I mean we can't win the Ramsden Cup, and can't get further than the Quarters.

tannerall 25,935
Who thinks our return to the top would be easy ?Dunno, petition signers ? Naive youngsters ? Romantic oldsters ? As a club we are still struggling on many fronts, although we are as high as we could be in the circumstances. There was a lot of arrogance in assuming we would steamroller all opposition. Our club was badly broken and is nowhere near to being fixed. Yet some expected to win cups, beat teams consistently by high scores, just turn up cause we are Rangers and it will be okay.We are still fighting to get back on an even keel. Whilst the clubs directors and fan groups battle amongst themselves, everyone trying to convince themselves there is an easy answer. We need solidarity and commitment as well as loyalty, but unfortunately that's not happening.

coopsleftboot 5,512
We don't have players of SPL standard so why should we We've got SPL standard players. I don't think anyone has disputed that and it showed, in the main, last season. They are an average bunch though, and like an average SPL team (which is effectively what we are right now) we'll lose a few games, even to "inferior" teams...it's what average SPL teams do. To think that we'll turn up with this averageness and turn over opposition just because they've pulled a Rangers top on is naive in the extreme. That's just where we are on this road to recovery. I'm not sure why people think the actual players should be better than they are, at the moment we just can't afford the kind of quality that a Rangers player should be. Ally was racing a Porsche against a reasonably priced car and still got skelped about the track.Please....no more with the excuses. They've all gone now and the fans will be next. But Hearts weren't ripped up for arse paper by all and sundry, or not given a licence to play the day before kick-off, or dropped down to the bottom tier either, or many many other things. And they're not Rangers. We've played ONE game in the league, let's see (even if things don't change) where it takes us.
