Shuggy 1,308
We are now one point away from equalling our dismal total of 67 points of last season with ten games left. Hearts finished with 91 points to win it. To equal this, we need to get 25 out 30 points from the remaining 10 games. Doable.
kanjo 26,330
What Hearts done last season was freak-like. If Hearts had been in this years Championship, they'd be on much less points. In my opinion, of course.
Prso's headband 35,510
Would be nice to emulate it but it really isn't a necessity . Only problems a can see are Falkirk n Hivs away.
tannerall 25,935
Ultimately I do not give one f"ck about our totalpoints this season. Hearts did well last season and all credit to them, but for us it's all about renewed future success in the Premier, something Hearts fans can only dream about. We've now done the fourth league, the third league and the second league (just about). We are now working on a nice wee cup success (or two) and next season in the top league.. Our sights are now higher.
JWAC 2,245
That sort of thinking is reminiscent of McCoist, I want us to wrap this up as soon as possible to allow youths on the fringe of the first team squad a chance to prove they can step up (if they're good enough)

We're going to come up against teams fighting relegation, wanting to get into play offs, I don't want any players getting injured and missing the start of next season. Agree with Kanjo. Us, Hibs and Falkirk are all much stronger than last season and Morton have been impressive. why play players who wont be here and clearly arent good enough? Misteral 2,932
Don't care how many points we end up with when we are champions. Whatever MW decides to do with starting XI once it's done is good by me.
Guest
One the leagues won id prefer we start preparation for next season by fielding some youths etc than focusing on matching hearts tally
Blumhoilann 6,712
One season cannot be compared to another imo but for those who care,we're 3 points behind Hertz total at this stage last year.
Drunk and disorderly. 14,488
I'm not for breaking records this season. It's all about wrapping up the Championship asap, maybe winning a cup or two and building for the future. Rather see our youths get match time than break some diddy division record. We're paying wages to the likes of Bell, Zelalem, Ball, Law, Shiels, Clark etc. When the championship is won play them and give our kids the chance to show the manager what they can do. i doubt our regulars would be happy at being dropped tho footballers want to play football,im all for blooding a few promising youngsters yes but not wholesale changes theres every chance we could still be in Scottish cup so id rather keep the players momentum going for that tbh
siddiqi_drinker 14,635
I'd rather we continue just winning league games one at a time and forget about records. Hopefully we can also reach the cup final where a wee victory would be the icing on the cake.
stewaj3 1,446
To be fair it's not really comparable, hearts beat us and hibs comfortably last year. Neilson, levein, budge and to some extent locke deserve a lot of credit for that. I would assess that although hibs and Falkirk are decent sides, I don't think we've had the same challenge as last year. I think Mr Warburton deserves credit for improving us massively, but I think the focus should be on rangers and winning every game. Hopefully his outlook is on this and to improve us as a team. How many points hearts got last year is of no concern to me.
bluenoz 30,915
97 points in total will do me just fine.

I'd compare them last year to Hibs this, albeit Hibs are now imploding.
Frank Reynolds 3,359
The only thing I care about is that our total points this season is greater than any other team's total.
tannerall 25,935
I think it's Arbroath who hold the record for most goals in Scotland, was it 36-0 against Shotts Bon Accord ? But what happened to all their trophies..........................
