Exactly. Things will turn really nasty if this happens. Including pre-emptive strikes from our own fans too.

This has to be dealt with swiftly and correctly or it will be a blood bath next season at away games and you know what, I'll back the fans 100% as Scotland is now an absolute Rangers hating cesspit where Protestants, Bears, Loyalists and Unionists are now fair game in the eyes of supporters of other clubs, politicians, the media and worst of all the Police.

Well said, captured the current atmosphere entirely in this sad country.

People who identify with Rangers have had to endure humiliation, corruption, neglect, overwhelming media persecution.. We have never suffered an empty stadium though, we've never been alone. A club reborn, an institution reinvigorated. The taig hierarchy splashing out 45 thousand pounds a week in blood money to try and halt the tide from turning ?? Bring it fucking on. No Surrender, ever

The fenians couldn't fill their hideous stands when they lifted their last tainted title.

The attempt to dress all this up as a party is a disgrace, and Rangers statement is obviously being ignored and ridiculed. It wouldn't surprise anyone here if Rangers withdrew from the cup next season, and refused to allow all players to be available for national team selection. Strong actions follow strong words.

No surrender mate .Not the way bud

Cheers M8, used Google and he sounds like a right bitter twat, here is part of what he wrote

Founded a decade earlier in 1875 they were the pioneers for the Irish community. The club had been set up by Canon Edward Hannan and Michael Whelahan, their first captain, as part of St Patrick’s Catholic Young Men’s Society in Edinburgh’s Cowgate.

Yet we are described as the sectarian club, this myth needs to be challenged at every turn, only 3 clubs in Scotland were founded on sectarian grounds and all three mirror the one mentioned above

If this was actually allowed to be swept under the carpet, I fear for next season and the blood that will be shed.

I fear that too, If our fans have that sort of provocation week in, week out, then eventually it it will bubble over and be more than a song sang in retaliation. I'm gob smacked that the whole game, top to bottom, aren't taking this seriously, they got that close that a player could have been killed. Do those putting it down to 'exuberance' feel that sort of security breach is acceptable for a professional football game?

If this is not dealt with correctly by the governing bodies then they are sending the message that it's acceptable for fans to attack players. This sort of behaviour should be stamped out immediately, so that it never happens again. If this sort of behaviour is left to become the norm then I see the future of Scottish football being played in cages to protect it's players.

Let's not kid ourselves here .There are agenda being played out here .Even on Stv .

To some ,not as bad as Bbc .But they are rancid all the same .

Everytime they do these things .

It's always a someone from our side with a smooth calm and uncontroversial mind set .

Whereas the counter argument is always set from someone who is not scared to go for it .Be colourful with the truth . Lie even

?Exactly mate...thanks for posting that...just goes to show what we're up against!! They're obviously proud of their cofflick inception and heritage but we're the bigots for proudly displaying ours!! Only in modern day Scotland would you get a whole culture and community reviled as sectarian bigots....by who?...the real sectarian bigots!!!
