No, we have not got a goal scorer and we badly need quality through out the side especially up front.

A contradiction in terms, top scorer who should have scored, really and not for the first time this season, make your mind up. He is playing up front on his own and badly needs support but that is no excuse for easy chances being squandered and he should have won the game today with that header, he has to concentrate and keep his eyes open and again, not for the first time this season. We have a lack of quality throughout the team and if addressed then I would expect Morelos to score more, we shall see.

Is he the league's top scorer (or was going into game not looked at other results)?  Yes he missed chances but are you saying scorers don't miss chances? Yes he should score more but so should every scorer ever to have played the game. Doesnt make him someone that can't or doesn't score. Mccoist for instance was exactly the same. Laudrup1984 25,100
They can't deal with the high press. They can't deal with any press. Any time we pressed them, they panicked, they lost possession, they misplaced passes. Every time a team presses them, they come unstuck. Over the past few weeks, us, Hearts, Motherwell, Killie, Anderlecht etc have got in their faces and they can't handle it. Luckily for us, the taigs, their fans and the media continue to dismiss it all and merely blame it on fatigue. All this whilst they have a squad of about 50 cunts or something! It's a nonsense but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. In fact I hope they continue to think they're invincible. Keep blaming it on fatigue. They're not nearly as good as many make out. Anyone can look good when they're not put under pressure. The thing is you don't even need to be a good player to play the high press, close players down, put them under pressure. You merely have to be competent and moderately fit. It's really not that difficult. Why teams sit off them is a mystery! Our depleted squad have shown we can match them. I still think this season might be too much to claw back but if we don't believe we can catch them, certainly next season, with a few decent additions, as well as getting some key players back from injury then we should just give up. They are there for the taking if we go about our business in the right manner. First things first though, we need an extra bit of quality in the final 3rd, that bit of quality that wins us games like today, and also wins us games against the lesser teams, someone who can make the difference in the final 3rd. There are many players out there who could improve us, and who will not cost millions. We get into so many great positions but just lack that cutting edge at times................. Spot on, been saying it all season, what is needed is a midfielder who will drive at defences and make defenders have to make decisions and draw them out of their comfort zone someone with a quick brain who can spot an opening or can link with a forward, someone not afraid to have a pop from outside the box, we make it to easy for teams who sit in with high crosses from the wings into wee Morelos, talking about Morelos, I can see shades of McCoist's first season with us in him in that he gets into great positions but snatches at chances, if composure can be coached into him then maybe just maybe we might just have another McCoist on our hands, but the boy does need support. andyhrfc 2,242
Droves of them were leaving on 80 minutes. If they can't stay for the last 10 minutes of an OF game at 0-0 I doubt very much they will be back for the lesser lights.   Upper tier closed again next season? Deanzmeanzheinz 4,312
When we play ‘them’ then yes, that is the blue print. Get smashed into them. Loved the way McCrorie went after Lego in the 2nd half. Although Tav had to calm him down at one point as he was always too far forward ?? but playing accies, st Johnstone etc is a totally different examination. There’s very little to press, especially at Ibrox. It’s not so much effort and commitment. It’s flair and imagination. There’s very little of that in our squad. That’s the priority in the next transfer window or two. A couple of ‘Sone Aluuko’s’

While we’re shuffling from side to side, they’re getting men back to close the gaps. Not that they’re parking the bus all the time, but the amount of time we allow them means they’d be seriously neglectful if they didn’t get bodies back. So is Kris Boyd not a scorer? 270 goals in just under 600 appearances suggests again you're talking nonsense. Or Kris Boyd IS a scorer but currently Morelos who isn't is out gunning him, Griffiths, club 18-30 million Dembele etc... Not much of a counter argument of yours eh? Morelos stats are 12 goals in 24, a ratio which i'd argue any striker would be pleased with over the course of a season. You said "we do not have a goal scorer" and then stated it was a contradiction to say he was. I'm proving he is a goal scorer, best currently in the country, outgunning those valued at many millions more, for a team not even at the top of the league. Not bad for a relatively young guy. Your issue appears to be that he misses chances. So again, I've given mccoist our greatest ever scorer as a perfect example of a scorer, and one who missed plenty chances over the years. Or was he not a scorer in your eyes because of those misses. Why don't you just say what you really think which is he can miss chances. Then like with every forward in history we can discuss the merits of ghat without the bullshit of doing the guy a service and saying he' s not a goal scorer.
Gaffbear 4,104
In the pub yesterday talking to rabid anti Naismith and Lafferty supporters and all agreed that with those 2 playing we would have pumped them . Starting tomorrow we must match their spending with quality ( I'm not suggesting them ) who will improve us all over the park , especially on the left , behind the strikers and a striker and well chase them down to the wire . They're a fuckin bog average side who've looked half decent in a shite league .plus their big men shat it yesterday . Lego , dembele , sinclair , Tierney, Boyata and lustig all posted missing and hiding . Pity it' the winter break cos they could crumble.
