Time for Dutch, Belgium , Scottish , Portuguese, Greek, Swedish & Norwegian clubs got together and withdrew from UEFA competitions.  The europa league would fall flat on its face.  Why should we as a club be decrimanated against  because of which country we play in? We are a business just like all these clubs from bigger leagues 

They are killing football a season a lot of big clubs with bigger crowds than some champs league teams are being reduced to minnows. And what has our fa done? As usual fuck all

 

Time to get the Atlantic league back on  the table as tv rights for tha would be worth a good few quid.

Yip....the champions league is now about profit....the prestige of winning it means fuck all if you let in 4 or 5 teams from each of the top 5 nations, gone are the days where reaching the latter stages by playing real cup tie football, money is causing the game to have a slow lingering death, until it gets back to basics the big clubs will just get greedier and the tournament will be confined to the history books.

It's sad that the way it is we may never see smaller teams rise up to the top again, it's not only is who are getting choked by it, I remember teams like the Belgrade and Bucharest teams for example who had top European teams which are now left to feed of the scraps.

Also Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV of Holland, and Porto and Benfica in Portugal, all talented teams who played attractive and  innovative football hand brought great talent and skills consistently over the years have no chance of reaching the final . 

All those teams relied on home grown talent and skills. Now the best of their players are simply fed through the ranks to the elite who monopoiise the competition and the cash.

As a traditional football lover I' d just like to say fuck the cartels at Barca, Real, Bayern, Chelsea, Man Untd,  Man City, Juve, who have stolen the beautiful and once long ago  unpredictable sport from the grass root clubs in traditional areas of football fanaticsism.

The clubs affected by this continual shite need to band together and tell Uefa in no uncertain terms to wise up or gtf. Our collective brands and fan bases are worth far more than the scraps they throw us.

Rugby has about six teams in total and it's shite - they're trying to make elite football consist of just a handful of financially doped-up mega teams duking it out every year, and it will end in tears when the umpteenth consecutive all Spanish/English Champions League semi-final eventually bores every cunt to tears.

Even their fan-bases are 50% Japanese tourists. They're fair weather fans and will disappear when the lustre fades away. Formula 1 changed the rules when it became boring seeing only a red car or a silver car cross the line first. Football needs a similar shake-up.

Taking away what UEFA are trying to turn this into, for me this highlights the backwards mentality of Scottish football to demote Rangers into the lower leagues!! 

We have went from having two clubs competing in Europe between the two competitions to having just the tarriers who by all accounts haven’t put money into a decent squad as they have no challenge domestically! This meaning they are getting humped every week in Europe! Add to that the shite in this league getting shiter & barely winning a match against the part time outfitters in the Europa! Our co-efficient is well & truely fucked! Probably for good now with the changes being made!

We are now having to win 4 ties to get into the group stages! Fuck me! Talk about biting off your nose to spite your face!

IMO organizations like UEFA and FIFA have obligations to benefit the game as a whole and all member clubs. After all, there’s no choice but for clubs or countries to be members of these institutions.  However, neither seems to work for the greater good of the game and they focus only the monetary needs of the already super rich.

When the games governing body blatantly sets competition rules to suit just a few members then questions really need asking. 

As history has shown us,  actions like this will at some point cause revolution, it is inevitable.

Outside of Rangers , I stopped watching it years ago it's just so boring now . 

Just wish there was a way for countries out with the big 4 to turn their backs on it . Leave England , Spain Germany and France to battle it out amongst themselves and I'm pretty sure the rest could have a tournament that would be more interesting .

lawell knew this was coming at their AGM and alluded to it. Its now a really tough ask to get the CL group stage and there is no way any club can base their finances on it.
