We are more suited to playing them and indeed European sides than the rest of the league. So yes if we where to play them every game until the end of the season home and away the honours would be pretty much even. Indeed we could probably win a game by a few goals.

What we haven’t improved on much is defeating the rest of the dross.

The final words from SG summed up the season...….we'll move on and we'll improve.

I suppose that's the best that can be said when there are no cups to show, no cup final to look forward to, no league title to be won.   We sit alongside the ranks of most teams at this stage of a season - left with just the message of moving on and hoping for improvement.

I'm hoping Gerrard has the same conversation with King but that it extends to the pair of them deciding what 'improvement' means in tangible terms next season.
