I believe there's some kind of adapter solution. Even then if not some kind of cheap PCI card. It's the one you want to use ideally. It's an MSI B550 Gaming Gen 3. Can I just leave it unplugged? I reckon for now, it would just be the USB-C plug on front of your case that isn't connected to anything. I think you may be able to get some kind of USB-C to USB-A connector/cable/adapter later (for the motherboard), or a PCI card that will make it useful. lidorfc

lidorfc 6,693
last question I think. I got two PCIE cables with my PSU, both are dual 8 and 6+2 pin cables, and my GPU requires 3 8 pin connections. Can I use both connection from 1 cable and a 3rd from the other cable to make up the 3 required connections? ChatGPT says you can but I don't want to trust that

lidorfc 6,693
Does this GPU fully on place? The gold contacts look fully in but there is still a wee space either side. I think I felt it click into place but the wee latch on the right hand side is still loose.

CR3 12,879
after years of procrastinating it is happening.. although my mate had added a Gamemax £45 twin600 cooler for me instead of something like a Corsair AIO which I like the look of in builds. Can anyone advise that the twin600 (that can be found on scan.co.uk) is going to be enough cooling for what I have or should I initiate a return and get the AIO before building. Case is a Corsair 4000D Airflow for context also. Main use apart from general web is High/Ultra gaming I’d imagine. I don’t do any intensive editing or rendering. @Iakona perhaps. Cheers

Cheers Never used any of the GameMax stuff tbh - only ever seen reviews for their cases which seem to be “fine for the price” - but mostly they are known for rebranding generic cases opposed to manufacturing. I’m assuming that will also be the same for their coolers and psu’s like most Chinese companies. The 14700k can run super, super hot… it’ll probably be okay in most situations but I personally wouldn’t be happy running it with a relatively unknown aircooler. Either go with a front mounted 360 AIO for the front of your case or get something like the AK620/Peerless Assassin/Phantom Spirit to be safe. (Though I’d double check the ram clearance) CR3
