Sounds as though he was fleeing from the country.

Ex-celtic player Anthony Stokes arrested at Gatwick airport - A former celtic player has been arrested at a London airport in connection with a warrant.

Anthony Stokes, the former celtic and Arsenal star, was led away from his plane at Gatwick by armed police, according to the Scottish Sun. A witness on the plane, which was returning from Dubai, said: “I heard raised voices in the cabin and we were all told to stay in our seats for them to deal with someone on the plane. “They asked for Mr Anthony C Stokes to come to the front of the plane with his luggage. “He was walked off and I later saw him and another man standing by the baggage belts.”

The current FC Persepolis forward was reportedly returning from a trip to Dubai with his family on Friday. He is due to appear in Hamilton Sheriff Court today.  Police Scotland confirmed to the Glasgow Times: "A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an outstanding warrant.” FC Persepolis, an Iranian team have been approached for comment and are expected to reply to the Glasgow Times later today.

I can see Traynor taking him to court for slander.

Michael Stewart off BBC Sportsound amid 'change of plan' as Jim Traynor row goes on

Michael Stewart will NOT appear on BBC Sportsound this evening despite making his comeback last weekend. The pundit was scheduled to appear on the radio programming after patching things up with the Beeb following his rant aimed at Rangers' PR chief Jim Traynor. However, despite his return on Sportscene last Saturday, the former Hearts and Hibs midfielder took to social media to explain how a "change of plan" will keep him off the radio this evening.

He said: "Unfortunately due to a change of plan I won’t be on Sportsound tonight to talk about the huge weekend of Scottish Cup football we’ve just had." Mystery surrounding Stewart's omission from the radio show comes as the Gers row rumbles on. It is understood that Stewart WILL be back in studio for Sportsound's midweek coverage.

Stewart was suspended indefinitely by the BBC after accusing Traynor of leaking stories to the press regarding striker Alfredo Morelos and casting doubt on accusations of alleged racist abuse received by the player in a Sky Sports interview. He launched into a scathing tirade about Traynor, causing BBC's Kenny McIntyre to apologise live on air and the broadcaster keeping Stewart off the airwaves.

We told last week how Stewart's suspension was lifted by the Beeb after positive discussions where the former footballer agreed to code of conduct. A statement released by BBC Scotland said: "Following Sportsound on Monday, February 3 we have clearly explained the BBC editorial guidelines around fairness and accuracy to Michael Stewart. "We expect our pundits to be forthright, but fair. Michael agrees with this. On that basis, Michael is now available for selection for Sportscene and Sportsound."

Glasgow Times Sport has contacted BBC Scotland for comment.

Coronavirus: Glasgow man trolled over ‘manky’ bath and state of his flat after posting ‘Corona outbreak’ joke

A GLASGOW man who used bottles of beer to joke there had been a Coronavirus outbreak in his flat has been trolled over the state of his bath.

The celtic supporter used Corona lager as a prop in a series of staged photos which he posted to Twitter.

The celtic fan joked there was a 'Corona outbreak' in his flat

But it was his dirty bath that drew most attention

One had a bottle placed on top of a Hoops scarf, along with a bottle of vodka and Disaronno, while another was placed inside his shoe.

But it was one which was positioned next to his bath taps, shower gels and rubber ducks that really drew attention.

The side of the bath and looks grotty and the walls worn.

But, worst of all, there is a huge clump of hair lying near the end of the bath.

Social media users pounced on this and were quick to rinse the original poster.

After he shared the pics with the caption "#CoronaOutbreak There’s been a outbreak in ma gaff! Am right", he was bombarded with replies.

The celtic fan placed bottles of Corona around his flat

But the joke spectacularly backfired

And the attempted joke definitely came back to bite him.

One posted a pic of 'Manky Frankie' from Still Game and said "Deal way that bath."

Another joked: "Crack den. Howling."

Another quipped: "The last time that bath seen water was 1888."

Another said: "You’d need to quarantine for two weeks after stepping foot in that bath alone never mind anything else. Barkin."

Another added: "F**k Coronavirus, I’d be more worried about dysentery in that dump. Looks like a trauma clearance is needed.

Emails have been sent to adidas top brass along  with evidence of the  separateentity shenanigans spanning 50 years. This is about to blow believe me ...there is a second documentary regarding those foul beasts due out

If adidas choose to bo business with a company who harbour and re-employ(and attempt to re-employ) men they know fine well are paedophiles then hell mend them when they find one of their major clients exposed as the worst sex abuse scandal in football.

They were well warned in advance

Beware the ides of March
