I have nothing against foreign coaches but there should be a bit more balance instead of 100% nepotism. Besides, Thomson and McCann have a good knowledge of the game and understand the magnitude of wearing the shirt. That is immeasurable when handed down to the current players. So what do you think of a fat Aussie who have two Scot’s assistants who were pathetic under popcorn teeth- who plays folk who can’t speak English or have even been to Scotland giving us a doing? perhaps Neil McCann with his massive knowledge of us and the Scottish game would help our boys play better football? it’s just a weird thing to think will help tbh. KingKirk 25,816
It's bonkers we've allowed this guy to come in and change everything. We play the complete opposite way that this team have been built for. Before the break even something as little as the Goldson ball in behind was still a thing since the break its completely gone. I can understand a new management tweaking 1 or 2 things max but this idiot has completely tore everything up and started again mid season when 40mil is at stake Madness

We Scots love to downplay our own homegrown talents and love a sexy European name. The same applies to homegrown players. Having a Scot on the backroom staff would only have helped and not hindered. Changes should have been implemented gradually and not so drastic. We easily shit on the players but we don't really know how much they have been asked to alter their game. Fair point, but regardless of a change in their game tasking it’s no excuse for a players lack of heart, ambition or endeavour which unfortunately last night we witnessed in abundance. As for GVB, I’m genuinely unsure what his ‘style of play’ is at the moment, he stated on interview prior to the game that his team did not play counter attacking football, but over the last few matches that’s exactly how it’s looked. In summary however, he has some serious work to do and if he wants to keep any level of fan support, he had better start doing it sooner rather than later… SeparateEntityMyArse and bluenoz

None of the names you mentioned has a direct input on coaching the first team players other than Stewart who is in a specialized role for goalkeepers. You are clutching at straws here mate. The same players who Gerrard protected and never called out in public whilst others got hung out to dry, well the softly softly 'this one's on me' approach has allowed them to shirk any responsibility for their own performance, shrug their shoulders and pick up their appearance bonus the next week regardless. It very much remains to be seen whether Gio is the man for the job but if he can turn this around and win the title then he needs to be given funds for a complete rebuild and the likes of Kent, Tavernier, Barisic, Kamara and Goldson shouldn't be allowed to dictate to us whether they want to stay and play champions league football, they need to be cleared out the door. If Gio remains, and admittedly I’m not in the ‘sack the manager’ camp’, I suspect that lions share of that capitulating team will be gone in the summer. He seemed stunned by their collectively inability and attitudes in the interview after the game. I honestly can’t believe that a manager who’s won the Dutch league, played for some of the best clubs in the world, captained his country and played in a World Cup final would set his team up so badly last night. 90% of those players lack the correct mentality to play for Rangers in the big games, when there is something on the line. Time and time again, when it’s really mattered, they’ve fucked it up: under both Gerrard and now GVB. Time will eventually tell, as to why it went so wrong. I got the feeling in Jack’s interview that he underlying emotion was frustration and anger that the players didn’t execute the orders they were given. If they had, then surely 3 of them wouldn’t have got the hook at half time. The issue we have is getting a tune out of them from now till June. cascadeshrimp, bluenoz, MurrayWilson and 5 others
