Gio I feel was slightly different . He fucked the league post winter break in his first season but actually finished the season strongly with a run to a European final , beating Celtic at Hampden and then going on to win the Scottish cup. Was ultimately too little to late to salvage the title though and we also put in a really good performance at parkhead post split and in second half probably deserved to win the game and were a sakala shot off the post from doing so and probably take the title to the final day if that happens

The following season we started off fairly consistent but not overly inspiring bar a draw at Easter road where collum made a total cunt of sending Lundstrum off and qualified for the champions league. It was the parkhead 4-0 and the manner of it that completely derailed that season , didn't even have time to recover or regroup from it before another tanking was on the cards in the champjons league every other fortnight. Paired with injuries and his tactics then became even more cautious and predictable as the run went on confidence was in total tatters

The main difference has been that Clement started to carry out the long-delayed clear out of the old guard, albeit making the big mistake of leaving Tavernier in place. Recruitment under all three managers was poor, overall, and this indicates a more general problem within the club.

Lets be honest.. its shite. But when people go on about 4231 being shite? Just watched Liverpool play Chelsea yesterday and they both played the formation. Its not the formation.. its the tactics and instructions withing that. The formation is only a starting point.

I’ve had time to think over PC since sunday and it’s clear to me he has to go. We have not progressed at all under him and we don’t look like we will anytime soon. 

The football is toothless, turgid and predictable. Long hopeless balls over the top and absolutely no authority stamped on the final 3rd of the field.

I do not know why he sticks to this fucking formation as it clearly leaves us lacking in all departments. 

It’s time to bring in an all attacking manager who doesn’t give a fuck. PC is done

He’s now done that to 4 Rangers managers.

It’s all in this shite formation we play. Stick 2 up top and have your 4 in midfield rotating around the ball to drag the other team about and it will create the gaps needed.

Genuine question BTW because it has to be a two way thing. You can’t just give somebody time in the hope that it miraculously turns around, they have to show you glimmers and we have done nothing but go backwards since March.

This is why I believe he deserves more time. He’s proved he can win trophies including league titles.
His first 7 months were far from a disaster, ultimately we blew the league but he got us into a league winning position with only 6 games remaining, no one would have predicted that just before he arrived, he also took us into the knockout stages of the Europa league beating a Spanish team away from home for the first time in our history and also won the league cup. A mixed bag but certainly not a failure. 
The squad is undoubtedly weaker this season and it’s evident, but that’s what happens when you lose players for nothing and don’t then provide the manager with the funds not only to replace them but to strengthen the squad. On top of that we couldn’t even start the season playing at Ibrox.
Any manager would struggle here under those circumstances. The lack of investment is the number one concern for me and that’s down to the board. The entire situation is grim.
Maybe the answer is to pay him and his staff off, replace them with another management team and hope they perform a minor miracle with next to no funding. 

Were the board right to sack Gio or in hindsight would they have been better giving him funds and more time?

Mate he tried to justify a 0-3 loss at scum saying we had the same amount of shots on target. THAT is his level, unfortunately.
