Emerson 2
I would say Ferguson. 31 in the new year with his best years well behind him. Have we missed him this season?
maxwellrfc 6
fergie. his best yrs are behind him. thomsons still young and i believe he cud go on and become rangers captain
MarkyMitch 4
who should it be As much as I rate Thomson......Barry Ferguson he isn't! I know Thomson has age on his side but he still isn't a patch on a fit Ferguson. Thomson could be replaced but Ferguson couldn't! Just my opinion! Would love both to still be here come January! Nemor 0
Fergie. As stated above, he's past his prime now, and plagued by injury lately. Thomo is young and hungry.
bombaybadboy08 15,660
Fergie,Thommo gives you dig,you need someone in the midfield to do the ugly stuff
Wullie! 8
After debating it for years, I think The Clash should go.
ShootSpeedKillLight 0
I voted Ferguson to go, but I'm surprised so many others did the same!

Muff 245
Easy - Barry Ferguson. He's finished and we don't need him.
cogsy69uk 62
Thommo for the simple reason we could get decent money for him
WerderBremenThenGers 0
Thomson is the future captain of the club so Ferguson because he's done
ManchestGer 347
I've seen some of the best midfield play from Rangers for a few years recently and that was without Ferguson. Obviously you don't wanna see him go because he's a strong charachter in the dressing room and always tries to pick up the rest of the team but when it comes to playing on the pitch Thomsons proved he could be a great player for us for years to come and would be far more valuable to us. Steely 58
I would prefer both to stay. But given the choice out of both, I would sell Ferguson. His best years are behind him.
cornelius11 74
Thomson, we could get good money for him and I think Barry will be back to good form now that hes recovered from injury.
MrT 173
Lets be realistic ferguson will be going nowhere either will thomson - we dont want to offload these types of players for several reasons 1, its great healthy competition 2, Barry on form is superb 3, Thomson I feel is our younger BF who will be better in next few years future captain for me!! Bluenose_Pete 4
Ferguson for me hes the other side of 30 now, although still good... tompson is our future i think.
Tumshie 205
Would keep thomson. Fergies best years are behind him and has had a number of recurring injuries over the last few years
Gaffbear 4,107
Bye bye Fergie
Polo 1,439
I would hate to lose either, but if I had to choose it'd be Thommo. We'd get a lot of money for him, and he's not as influential as Ferguson (even though he only has a few more seasons in the tank). We also have a gritty replacement in the shape of Edu. Spence 0
ferguson , i reckon hes past his best unless he proves me wrong
nvager 498
It is hypothetical, but in that mood I would say ferguison as his best football is behind him. He is getting on and recovering from some serious injuries.
TannochsideBear 355
It is of course a never never question because nobody is going to pay us £5M for Barry given his age. And he wont leave again, which is an important point. Thomson I am quite sure would be more than happy to go in January to double his wages and play in the EPL, given that he is not even a Rangers supporter and only has to look out for himself and doesn't have the emotional baggage that a true fan would have. We also need to sell players for big fees to get money into our debt-ridden club, and adding everything together I cannot see any circumstances that see Thomson being a Rangers player on 1 Feb 2009, unless he is injured.
