Had to visit a London specialist last week for a back problem. Fighting to save his career apparently. Only managed one game for Bristol City because of it. Another crock. :sherlock:

What a surprise!

Not nice to hear of anyone havig to give up their career but at least he has another 2and a half years wages due to him from us which should help him get a start for the future.

Hard to believe! Another great move by Walter. Bet this is the real reason for McCulloch's new position.

To be fair fella, McCulloch has done more for us than Webster haha

Webster is making Prodan look like a regular fit guy!

Actually, I feel sorry for the guy. Even if he is earning thousands a year.

Imagine for your whole life training to become a football player and then your career is cut short.

It doesn't take away from the fact that this was an absolutely terrible move by Walter to sign him.

whoever decided to give an injury prone player a 3 year deal, when he was injured at the time, should be sacked.

In any other business this wouldnt happen and if it did heads would roll.

Big questions must be asked as to why Andy Webster was granted a 3 year contract after 2 and half years of very few games mainly thru injury and previously his contract dispute at Hearts. Shambolic!!!

Suprise, suprise - why Webster was given a 3 year deal I'll never know?

Another reason why Walter Smith should be sacked.

I think the list now has around about 173 points why he should no longer be at the club.

*ahem*

RANGERS defender Andy Webster has suffered yet another injury setback.

The former Scotland defender has strained his back and was forced to visit a London specialist in a bid to solve the problem.

Webster is on loan at Bristol City but has started just one game for the Championship outfit since going to Ashton Gate in the summer.

He's hoping to get himself fit again before returning to Ibrox in January but has now fallen behind the likes of Lee McCulloch in Walter Smith's defensive pecking order.

The 26-year-old former Hearts star has endured an injury nightmare since arriving at Gers last year from Wigan.

Webster damaged a knee in his first training session at Murray Park before suffering an ankle injury in a closed-doors game against Ayr United.

Further knee surgery and a hernia op set him back last season but he'd returned to fitness for the start of the current campaign.

Webster was sent to City in a bid to build up his fitness but his latest injury has put paid to that.
