If the boot was on the other foot.

We had Barry Ferguson vs PLG and we all know how that finished.

Now we our greatest rivals in the same boat with McGeady vs WGS, i just wonder if the outcome will be the same!

Hmm not quite the same is it, he hasn't stripped McGayday of captaincy has he?

He's fined and suspended him for 2weeks, meaning he misses the OLDFIRM match.

McGeady is there equivalent of Ferguson, he's come through the youth ranks/fan and a fans favourite.

It isn't really the same. McGeady hasn't been at Celtic nearly as long as Ferguson was at Rangers and he wasn't the captain of Celtic either.

A better comparison would have been Lennon in his days at Celtic.

McGeady has been at Celtic probably over 10years, I'd say thats long enough.

I don't see it for the simple reason that McGeady isn't Celtic's captain, or the ring leader of a clique.

McGeady is Celtic favourite son who is dyed in all there traditions, and brought through their youth set-up!

I'd say the comparison with Ferguson is not far off!

Was thinking the same (tu)

Thank god somebody else see it (tu)

I just saw the comparisons between Strachan v McGeady and Ferguson v Le Guen.

I still back Ferguson though :P

Thats the point, the board will need to back one side.

I just wondering if they'll back the Manager or the Player :pipe:

I'd say the comparison with Ferguson is not far off!

The comparison with the two managers however is way off the mark.

Manager Records are completely different, but atleast your willing to see some kind off comparison between the two (tu)

def def def not the same thing here. plg was having a nightmare in charge of us while wee chesney has won the 3 in a row so chesney is always gonna win that battle!

I never said it was exactly the same.

But it is Player vs Manager....Who will the Celtic board back time will tell.

I think you'll have to wait and see if the Celtc support boo Strachan from the bus on Saturday, chant McGeadys name all through the match and then boo Strachan after it and if Scott McDonald makes a gesture of support for McGeady in a nice public way. If that happens then we can start making comparisons. But if Celtc don't win their next 2 games it just might you know.

I wish we'd had more patience with PLG when I look back now.

 Now i can question your football knowledge with that statement mate.

Aye, we've been so successful since he left doh

 The PLG era was fucking shocking Papa, how on earth you'd want to go back to that i have no idea.

We were lying 5th at one point, we went out of the cup via a 1st Division team, he brought in some shite.

Aye, Walter hasn't brought in amazing players, but i'd say we are alot better off now than we were under PLG.

If you disagree you really are over exagerating.

I know, he really should have done so much better with that £3m he was given to spend.
