Actually, Whyte was correct on his comparing the bank loaning money on the strength of future season ticket sales was the same as him raising money via Ticketus. It was just a diffirent mechanism. But between the both of them, they managed to fuck it up good style, Whyte and McLaughlin that is.

Well, everybody involved in this sorry tale of mis-management.

the point you have missed is , he purchased the club with what? He didn't own the club when he sold season tickets

Tin hat on here.

So technically Ticketus owned the old company with CWs name only on the door/headed paper, and he subscribed to the outstanding depts the company had, to secure the amount he thought he needed to borrow.

Then whose bank account did all the missing money go in to? How much control of the loan or day to day running of the companies finances did Ticketus see? Surely they would want more for their money than a signature on a loan agreement?

There is a small fortune still out there and it's possible that googly eyed little prick has it stashed away!

The clink of his cell door is coming.

He's basically the vulture who picked at the carcass that Murray left. He might be a complete arsehole, but by the time he arrived it was dead. You don't sell a business for a pound unless it's already a disaster.

It was sold for a quid because of the big tax case which has yet to be decided ... if White hadn't appeared we would still be in the spl

He wasnt right at all.

If Whyte had got a loan from the bank to buy the club, then potentially he could have used SOME of the season ticket money to service the loan and interest.

As he sold the season tickets to buy the club, he reduced the income as that money was actually theirs.

Its nowhere near the same thing (tu)

Our £18m long term Lloyds loan wouldnt have killed us. Our £27m Ticketus loan did. (tu)

Some people do not understand this.

The reason Whyte used ticketus was because no bank would touch us.

You put it much better than me.

IMO. The big tax case made the oldco unsellable. No bank would lend with a potential £50M liability hanging over us.

However, the fact remains that until CW arrived, Rangers had been paying down the bank debt year on year over a number of years.

Which leads me to conclude, CW is and was a spiv who stole millions from the club, then sought to cover it up by the appointment of his "prearranged" administrators Duff and Phelps.

Apologies for spelling and \ or grammar. I meant IMO CW is a lying cunt.
