thebluedoo 2,652
You can't rewrite history but would have been interesting to see how Jonas Thern would have turned out had it no been for injury. His goal against C****c was a thing of beauty, had the air of a top drawer player about him
Ozblue 4,331
Larsson was an excellent player but he sure as christ isn't the greatest player to come out of Sweden; in fact he is nowhere near it no matter what way you look at it.If you are using the criteria of games played-goals scored, then Larsson is way down the list when compared to Ibrahimovic, Kennet Anderson, Brolin, Allback, Dahlin et al.He couldn't defend to save his life, plus he went down in the box quicker than Linda Lovelace went down on a boaby.Good player,yes....the greatest? Nae chance.

JamieD 18,948
Larsson was an outstanding player with pretty much no ambition. The fact that he moved to Scotland for about £600,000 at the age of 26 shows where his career was going. And he peaked at 35 as a super-sub.If Ibrahimovic had played the best years of his career in Scotland, and played like he has played in the last four years, he would be considered by most to be by far the greatest player ever to play here. I wonder if he regrets waiting so long to actually challenge himself.I also wonder if Laudrup might have had a similar career arc, if not for injuries. I mean, unlike Larsson he had actually played for world class clubs already before he came to Scotland, was the star player of Denmark's Euro '92 winning team and was a Champions League winner with the golden age Milan the season before he joined us, but he hadn't exactly fulfilled his talent at club level before he came to us. It's strange because I can never recall any big offers coming in for him when he was in Scotland? At the times of these players I never thought we would be where we are in terms of the standard of player we are now used to.
G.E.C. 18,775
I'd say he was world class tbh, he had the big game temperament. 35 Euro goals for them iirc.

JCDBigBear 10,825
Ibrahimovic scores some incredible goals. My favourite from those shown on the link in post is the goal for Ajax just about 55 seconds into the tape.
Jimbo. 952
Just finished reading Zlatan's book. Absolutely brilliant!I never really liked him as a guy, but I'll read any old shite on holiday and I'm glad I did. He's a fkn legend.
TheRoyalBlueShirt 140
Some goals in that vid. Most of them are from outside the box, the ones inside are mostly back-heels.
