Del reacted to Malkytfp1 in If we lose Tav, Kent and Morelos...
Tav is a must stay for me. I think we could replace Morelos.

Honestly as long as Tav stays I'm okay with the other 2 going. We played our best football of the season those half a dozen games before Killie on the last day of the season and that was without Morelos. As far as Kent goes, he was brilliant for us but outwith the Old Firm games I don't think he was as important as Tav or Arfield were to the team and we have other players in that position to replace him.

He’s worth the 10 mill price tag. We would really lose his forward play and his defensive play is something he has said he constantly works on. 👍
So if you want him give us the money.

A bit ironic coming from the guy who declared Lee Wallace a cunt who should be hounded yesterday

He outscored dembele. He's scored at the 2nd highest level in Europe, reached 100 goals quicker than any of the superstars in world football, is a full Colombian international and is our first 30 goal striker in a decade.
6 million right enough

Why? Maybe because you're calling someone who has played for the club for 8 years, the majority of which as captain, and who until an incident with an interim manager, after what was one of the most embarrassing matches/results in the clubs history, had an exemplary record and had done nothing but good for this club.
Then he is punished for speaking out, but not allowed to tell us what was said, was then found innocent of any wrong doing and given the fine back but for whatever reason hasnt been allowed/deemed worthy of playing any more matches for us. This despite the manager saying on a number of occasions that a fit Lee Wallace would be an important part of the squad...
This is someone you think is a "cunt" who "should be hounded"?!

Apparently he and Miller in the dressing room said exactly what we were all saying to each other on forums - difference being he had the baws to say it to Murty’s face. Good on him I say.
But no to a testimonial.

I dont think he should have a testimonial but the rest of the post is a shambles mate...
He was injured for at the start of the 2017/2018 season, I think it might have been September/October, this is a guy who played 30+ games in the previous 6 seasons, so hes not exactly injury prone, but after the Murty incident it was clear that he wasnt going to be allowed to play again.
I also dont agree with the, "suited him based on his family situation", the guy should be praised for wanting to stay with us, not doubted because folk think he hung around as it was less hassle or to earn easy money. He could easily have went down south and made just as much money, if not more, than he was at Rangers. Lets not forget, he wasnt on Lee McCulloch money when he decided to transfer and I think there is something to be said about his character wanting to stay and be the man that guided Rangers back to the top. For someone who cares about the club, thats worth more money than any sum of moneym, and before people start going on about him being a hearts fans etc. you just need to speak to him or his family for a few monents to see how much they care about Rangers. Even look at his wifes stuff on instagram! Its probably the same reason Brown didnt leave celtic, a chance to become part of history that wont be seen again.
Noone really knows what happened with Murty etc. but if it is agreed, at least thats what I believe, that Wallace and Miller spoke out against Murty after the defeat to celtic for whatever reason they done it, it was because they werent happy about the result. If I was Lee Wallace and I felt strongly enough about it, then I would have stuck to my guns as well. The fact that Gerrard has been quoted a number of times saying that a fit Lee Wallace is a big boost to this team, but still not played him, shows that there is more going on than meets the eye.
It will all come out one day but to say he has "taken enough from us" is too far for me!

That the same cunt that went out his way to humiliate Halliday and had him on the list to get rid , Gerrard took him at face value and he’s had a good season aye , murtys a joke , should’ve been hunted for his life out the club

80 minute champions? Sounds like the sort of farfetched stat that Liverpool supporters are currently coming out with tbh.

He’s just had a major injury. Hopefully he can come back from that because he was a good player for us. He had more of an end product than Kent.

Next season He is gonna tear it up in the role Kent has been playing recently. He’s a very good player and with a pre season and run of games will prove people wrong

What is folks issue with Jamie Murphy?
The amount of threads/posts I have seen saying that he isn't good enough recently has been unreal and I don't understand why...
When he joined us we were all over the place, a terrible team with even worse manager(s), but in 19 games he scored 5 goals and assisted 10, none of our current players that play in a similar position have got anywhere near that! On top of that, when you think that he had only played 6 games (375mins) in just over a year at Brighton it was always going to take him a bit of time to get up to speed ( Look at Davis recently! ) but the return he gave us was very good!
His league debut for us was against Aberdeen, a 2-0 win, and the team was as follows:
4-2-3-1
Foderingham
Tavernier Martin Bates John
Holt Goss
Candeias* Windass** Murphy
Morelos ***
*subbed off for Cardoso **subbed off for Halliday ***subbed off for Cummings
When you look at the wholesale changes in our squad over the summer, for me it would only be fair to suggest that he would kick on playing with better players and again this season in 7 games he had scored 1 goal and assisted 3!
A fit Jamie Murphy is a big threat for us and an important part of our squad! I for one hope he comes back fully fit and would have him starting if he gets through pre-season.

Nonsense!
But you are right about the assists being against "diddy teams", who needs them, Its not as if we dropped points against the like of Livingston, Dundee, Hibs, St Johnstone etc. or its not likely that dropping points against those "diddy teams" is going to cost us league titles...
As for people wanting him to be sold, people wanted rid of the entire team but the lack of a proper manager cant be overlooked! Just look at the difference in Morelos, he was one of the players most complained about and arguably the most valuable/best player in the team.

You can do that with most players though...
Ryan Kent - 42 games - 6 goals - 9 assits
Goals - Dundee (W4-0), Hearts (W3-1), Hamilton (W4-1), Livingston (W3-0), St Mirren (W4-0), celtic (L2-1)
Assits - Maribor, Kilmarnock, celtic, Aberdeen 2 (same match), Hamilton 2(Same Match), Kilmarnock, Aberdeen
Regardless of what teams they are against, they dont count double against top 6 teams...if anything its the points dropped against the so called lesser teams that have cost us this season!

I'm glad he didn't make it back before the end of the season. Means he now goes into pre season starting afresh rather than being.runshed back for example last two games and breaking down again
