A decent centre midfielder would be a start.

Jack is rubbish. 
One of the stranger things about our support at the moment, people trying hard to convince themselves, and others, that he's a player. 
Not physically imposing, can't pass forward, scared in possession, can't shoot, slow, prone to giving away cheap fouls. 
But he runs around a bit, left Aberdeen for us and is a Protestant, so he must be great.

That's not what you expect to read but he's entirely correct in pretty much everything he says. 

That "dig" was pathetic. Did zero damage and could've put us down to ten. If McGregor wants to be a hard man he should come for crosses and smash everyone out of the way, rather than silly, petulant little kicks. 

Exactly. That's the problem. More of the same. 
There are lots of ways to get beat 1-0 but we've watched the same weak, passive garbage today and that's what's disappointing.

I agree that they're hugely overrated in Scotland and it wouldn't take as much as people think to beat them but our manager and players have to believe that. 
Today was a pathetic effort. 

The reality is we have players who are only average on a good day. The best Candieas, Jack, Mccrorrie, Halliday can do is average. You're thankful if they put in an average performance.

Agree to disagree. For me, we'll be struggling if he's a regular starter. 
Yes, I don't expect him to be Modric but if a pass is on you've got to have the cojones to make it. 

As much as I dislike Naismith and would've never want him back, he's got more edge, aggression and nous than any of the midfielders we had playing today. 

He's gutless. I don't care what anyone says, it oozes out of him. If you don't have the balls to pass forward when playing for Rangers, the biggest team in Scotland, you shouldn't be at Ibrox. Hard worker, tenancious enough, decent lad by all accounts but simply not good enough to be a Rangers centre midfielder. 
Sonone on here called him "levels ahead" of any other Rangers player today, boggles my mind. I just don't see it.

But why did we need today to teach us lessons we've been taught over and over and over for the last 3 years?
Gerrard got that spectacularly wrong. 

It was 1-0 but being honest they were much, much better today. 
It was a Murty-esque performance and interview by Gerrard. 
We shouldn't be in awe of a team containing Brown, Lustig, Gordon and Boyata. We shouldn't be pissing our pants with excitement to go in drawing with them at half time. 
It was an awful performance. People can keep bringing up the Europa League qualifiers all they like. We were shocking and fortunate not to take a serious hiding. 
Doesnt mean we won't improve or tiredness wasn't a factor but it does mean the manager and players got it badly, badly wrong today. Fans need to make their peace with that rather than scrambling for excuses or blaming the referee. 

It's not the same. Walters team maybe sat deep but they certainly didn't stand and admire celtic the way we've now got into a habit of doing. Yes we were defensive at times but I distinctly remember guys like Gough, McCall, Ferguson, etc more than match them physically. 
Gerrard was supposed to want a team of men. I didn't see any men out there today, I saw, yet another, Rangers team of little boys get smacked about by an average celtic team. 
Gerrard should be embarrassed at how he approached that. He made a rip-roaring cunt of it. 
His comments after the game deeply concerning. Chat of being pleased about going in drawing, etc. It's not the fucking creepy Merseyside derby. 

That's a major issue. Possibly not good enough to play forward, certainly not brave enough. Didn't expect anything else from Jack, he is what he is, very disappointed with Arfield, expected more.
