Yeah but if you're Romanian 4th official then you can't be expected to know who everyone not playing is by name. There's got to be a little common sense here.
And for the person above who said you don't hear anyone saying "white person" well if the roles were reversed and it was a black backroom team and dugout and one white person they didn't know the name if, they would say the white guy. 100% they would.

Can agree it's maybe a bit unprofessional if he doesn't but that's where it starts and stops. Racism for calling a black man black is the issue.

But we're talking about the 4th official pointing out to the ref who he was and he didn't know his name.

Sorry to take you out of context because most of that is fair enough post overall but c'mon he made a mistake by calling a black player, black? think about how ridiculous this has become and how we aid it.
I've watched the clips of it there again and I can see the black guy is really upset, but you need to consider he's upset because he could have thought the Romanian official said negro without knowing the literal translation. Which I do actually appreciate and puts a different perspective on things.
My issue isn't the confusion, I can see how it's happened, but the fall out that it's now wrong to call a black person black - considering they've got black power, black history month, black lives matter etc.
That's ironic and sinister if that's the route we are now going down.

If I know who the person is, I would refer to him by his name - but if I didn't know and I had to describe him to someone, then I'd happily say the black guy without any remorse because there's no offence or intent there and it's a distinguishing characteristic. 
So by your own logic, black history month or black lives matter is redundant? because the folk involved shouldn't be referred to as black.

I was actually gonna make the point earlier that in other instances it could be quite complex because the word Negro is used loads in Spanish because it just translates to black. I've been in bars in Spain called Negro something or other, there's Spanish music record labels with Negro in it ... even Spanish football players called Negro ... all in-offensive, but if a non-Spaniard or Portugese called a black person negro then yeah, it's easy to assume he's trying to be offensive because it's not his native language and he has no need to use it in that context.

I probably get far too wrapped up in shite like this and BLM but it's something I feel strongly about when I see our freedoms being ripped away from us like this and the population being conditioned to comply with stuff that's just not right. 
The hypocrisy, brow beating, bullying and moving of the goalposts around it all is breath taking and the folk that buy into it and enable it/let it happen and pontificate about it I feel like I could honestly take a hammer to if give the chance.

It's OK for folk from BLM, supporters of said, and BAME folk to talk about white priv, say in public not to use white owned businesses, John Barnes saying on his Twitter he hates white folk ... yet the minute a Romanian 4th official at a game, in the heat of the moment, when not knowing someone's name says the black man to point him out to the ref - then all hell breaks loose.

It's absolutely unreal. This madness has to stop. 
The guy was black and you can't say coloured. 
Imagine instead of trying to describe who it was, the official went marching right up to him and pointed at him for extra clarity - does that not look a hundred times worse?

I think my first post on this was making the same point that if the whole world wasn't swept away in this hysteria and literally seeing racism everywhere and the momentums/bandwagons around it, then there could have been a calm conversation where the Romanian 4th official could have simply apologised if there was offence taken, but reassured that it's just another language and been picked up wrong - in other times (better times) both parties could have had a chuckle, shook hands and that was that.
No chance of that in this current environment though. Depressing.

There are two separate issues here. If the outrage is because the word he used to describe black people was similar to "negro" then that's one thing, the problem then is with the Romanian language, not with the assistant ref. But if the outrage is because he used the guy's colour to identify him then that's a separate issue and I can see both sides.
I don't think Webo or his colleagues would be offended if in the course of a normal conversation a white person described someone as "a black guy", but having someone striding over and saying "That black guy, send him off" and then getting a red card waved in your face is a different matter, especially if as far as you know the word used is widely considered to be outdated and offensive (to English speakers, which both Webo and Demba Ba are).

Might it have been good all round if they had had a calm conversation about it and the guy could explain himself? Sure. I can understand in the heat of the moment why that didn't happen though. It's a natural consequence of the divide and rule society we live in under liberal capitalism International socialism is the only solution.
