Doesn’t work hard enough off the ball to be a modern day player.
Has a technical level slightly above most young Scottish players, but nowhere near the work rate.
You’ve got to have talent levels off the scale like Ozil, Riquelme to get away with that in 21st century football. But even those players seem out of touch with what’s needed nowadays, you don’t see them coming through anymore because sides can’t carry them.

The tarriers have zero interest in any solution that doesn’t involve them getting the whole of the broomloan, they’ve made that very clear in all previous talks (even when euro style allocations were discussed).
They’d want it because it means we’d have to decrease our ST numbers and ultimately mean we have less guaranteed revenue each season.
Fuck them and their rancid club

Sign a player who’s always crocked, then wonder why he’s always out.
We really need to sign players who have shown they can play 50 games a season. We aren’t a normal club, our seasons never 38 games so why are we signing players who only average 20-25 games or so a season.

Didn’t see the game, what impression did Silva make?

That Dundee United keeper was atrocious, really really bad.

Have we played River Plate or Boca Juniors ? I have a feeling we played one of them on an American pre season tour under Mcleish
Player River under McLeish/Advocaat

Not played Real Madrid/AC Milan in a competitive game?

I see Werner is as bad as he was when he left Chelsea.
He’s worse, was crap for Leipzig when he came back, couldn’t get a game there in the end

I ordered some of last years training kit and the quality has gone downhill compared to the first couple of seasons. Which I think is why other clubs have ditched them (Aston Villa had massive issues with the player kits also).

It will be.
Fan media have reported (because they’ve been fed by the club), then we have a very good working relationship with Castore.
Naturally when the deal ends, we’ll invite other parties to bid to try and drive up the deal we get. But despite the quality control issues, Castore apparently pay their invoices on time and let the club have a lot of input into kits etc.
Unless one of the bigger players blows them out of the water (and they won’t as the likes of Nike/Adidas just done care about clubs our size), then I’d expect they’ll be the partner for the foreseeable.

Just been dumped by Aston Villa for next season, Wolves meant to be looking at changing early too, trying to get a deal with Everton but their fans are not happy just being linked to it. Add to that their European clubs are looking to get out their deals too.
Might be the only ones left
Newcastle have binned them also and apparently Adidas are willing to pay to buy out the Castore contract, although Newcastle might be trying to sue them for poor quality control standards.

He’s a very good player for his age and needs some competition so he doesn’t get burnt out.
What I love about him is that when he loses possession, he immediately tries to win it back and often does. It means him losing the ball isn’t as damaging to our attacks, compared to a Dessers/Cantwell who will give up as soon as the balls lost.
Kilmarnocks full back had the better of him defensively for most the game, but he keeps going, gets his goal and didn’t let his head go down. As he matures and gets a bit more quality in terms of crossing/final product, he’ll be an important player for us. We’d get further with more Ross McAuslands and less Cantwells in terms of attitude IMO

Love Gio. The board didn't back him when they should have.
A lot of our failings are down to recruitment being a shambles since January 2021.
Gio was a bit old school in that he set up a side with the best players in each position and gave them the freedom to build attacks. We weren’t organised enough to press well domestically, but with better players we’d have won games more convincingly and been in title races. Signings like Lawrence and Tillman can unlock defences when given a bit of freedom to play their game.
It worked under Walter and Gio was of a similar mould, rather than a coach with a overiding philosophy. It’s arguably why we did well in the Europa run and knocked out PSV, because we identified opponents weaknesses and nullified them.
Instead, we spent the Europa/CL revenue he made us on dross like Ramsey, Matondo, Davies, or cheap options like Colak rather than seriously upgrading the squad.

Murder, over a third of his touches resulted in us losing possession.
I noticed from about 10 minutes onwards every time the ball went to him Killie took it off him or he did a shitey lay off to nobody.
It just kept happening over and over, second half he was better at retaining the ball but offered little else.

No he didn't, the poster is talking utter shit.
Watch it back.
Theres nothing I can find specifically for the Kilmarnock game, but the below is a screenshot of his stats for passing etc. across all league games this season.
He’s in the lowest 10% across the league for passing accuracy, which is fucking brutal.
He’s in the 99 percentile for offsides, meaning there’s likely only 1 player in the entire league been offside more than him.
His dribble success is in the lowest third of the league.
Hes just an utterly dreadful footballer, honestly barring the odd Hollywood pass he offers nothing. Can’t shoot, can’t hold up play, can’t retain the ball, can’t pass, can’t stay onside.
We could’ve signed almost any SPFL striker for peanuts and be getting more from them than Dessers.

Good luck, was a Kent sitter from something only 1 other manager has done for us.
Disgraceful how he was treated at the end, but sadly didn’t know how to break down sides domestically. But gave us the best European run we’ll likely experience for a while

Aye you counting him passing the ball/laying off a player as losing the ball lol?
Nope, I’d love to be proved wrong but it was horrendous. Genuinely has a first touch like a trampoline

I haven’t said he isn’t but see 2 mins into the game it’s tedious as fuck hearing people have a go at him for nothing, while Cantwell can be an empty jersey for 45 minutes and gets nothing. It’s a proper riddy.
Other players are making mistakes and he’s getting the brunt of it, just weird vibes man
Nobody’s taking him off us in January
Whilst I see the point you’re making (and it’s a valid one), I counted 10 occasions in the first half where Dessers lost possession of the ball.
It’s less noticeable on days like today because we win the ball back quickly. But against any half decent opposition, that becomes a massive problem.
He’s an utterly abysmal footballer.

The handball rule is a mess. Nobody knows what it is now.
His hand was beside him
It’s genuinely at the point where we need to go back to either “ball to hand, hand to ball”, or anything that hits your elbow or below is a penalty regardless.
Every FA is applying their own variation and it’s a fucking mess, even players and refs don’t know what it is these days.

Btw, this is the kind of game we’d have 100% dropped points in under the previous 2-3 managers.

No idea how he even keeps track of that in the air, an absolute peach.
Really impressive. How you keep track of where the balls gone, land and then get yourself set to go round the man and leather that, such a tough skill set

Girls are playing really well.
They’d have cuffed the men’s side from league 1/2 under Ally. The football is miles better to watch also.
