What exactly was the board expected to do here?
Wether fans were on the park to defend other fans or just for a scrap, they broke the law by being there and I'm pretty sure thats how the courts will view it there will be no differentiation between the two so banning orders were inevitable.
And although this isn't good to say this action shows the club as being pro-active in this whole sorry mess unlike the SFA and Hibs.

That's a bit unfair! He will like it because it has come from the Board. He only argues with people when they slag players or ex-players because he is very passionate about the Club! I don't agree with a lot of things he says and he pisses me off with some of views but I don't think it's right to bring him into this thread when we are all united with the Board and their superb comments!

Some of the people calling him a scumbag and a cunt must be the sort of people who never in their life got into a fight or in any trouble or have any previous. 100% lilly white angels.
Ive done worse that barton ever will, so will concentrate on the football side, think this could be an inspired signing, guys easily got two or three years left at a high level, isn't a money grabber, his experience and bite would be invaluable both in the league and in Europe.
