  1. Couldnt agree more mate. I went to the Rangers v Falkirk reserves game last week and he was playing LB, fitness looked good and he played well. Only thing i noticed is that he no longer does the runs up the line like he used to do when we had Hutton at RB, and we had two really attacking full backs, he seemed to stop at the half way line, but maybe he's under instructions from management at the moment, but in general, aye, he's much better than Dailly (mate....I'M fuckin better than Dailly at left back and im right footed...cannae use ma left!!) Ive seen him in a couple of reserve games this season and hes been pushing forward a lot on those games. Hes been pretty decent as well. Whitiker at LB last night was a nightmare. St Mirren attacked down our left at every possiblity. It was once Papac went of that they really came into the game.
  2. Are you feeling alright today papa ? I had to read it twice just to make sure I hadnt misread it the first time lol.
  3. Mine would be: :mcgregor: :whittaker: :bougherra: :weir: :papac: :davis: :mendes: :aaron: :novo: :boyd: :miller: EDIT: I'd put Fleck in for Miller
  4. I can never see us getting 9 points from these games (especially the away games). I can see Walter using his usual negative tactics in the run in and probably play for draws against Hibs and Celtic (4-5-1 formation). I agree with nvager that we should go for it with a 4-3-3 (at least in the majority of our games). We used negative bulls*** tactics against lesser teams at the end of last season and we all see where that got us.
  5. McShagger Davis Mendes Bougherra Boyd (for his goalscoring ability) hope Muffs no looking at this post Thomson
  6. It's a poor team selection by Walter thought. Davis has been okay on the right but I have felt for quite a while now that he would far more beneficial to us throught the centre with Mendes. We are simply not creating anywhere near enough chances for our strikers. This is due to the lack of natural width in our team and the quality of delivery into the box. I know a lot of you guys didnt like Burke but I feel he could have done a decent job for us for the remainder of the season. Also the lack of attacking/natural fullbacks in the team hasnt helped. :novo: :davis: :mendes: :aaron:
  7. why don't you? i'm at home in scotland. supporting rangers. where are you from? im from scotland part of great Britain supporting rangers and i won't put up with shitebags like you going after bears who have the balls to stick up for our club and stand by supporting the tartan army who hate our very existence proud to be scottish proud to be british disgusted by the tartan army i'm not a huge fan of the tarten army myself but why are they the issue? ferguson and mcgregor deserved to be booed. i love rangers but i don't think every player who plays for us is a god. they are a pair of twats. i support anyone who deserves my support but bazza and his wee gang of neds are dragging us down. i'l still be paying money to follow rangers in 10 years. will they still be around or give a fuck? i doubt it. it's their little clique thats put us behind a shite celtic team, put out of europe by hearts reserves and beaten in a cup final because celtic had better fitness. Actually that was Walter and Murray to be honest. I have never been a big fan of Barry but even he cant be used as a scapegoat for Walters failings.
  8. I put "Since I can remember Yes". However I think there is little chance of winning the league this season under Walter's stewardship.
  9. Get voting guys and gals its back to 26% now.
  10. No way I hate that guy with a passion. He is one of the main reasons I dont follow Scotland anymore.
  11. That's utter bollox. If your scottish then it's not utter bollox lol. http://www.bord-na-gaidhlig.org.uk/about-gaelic/history.html
  12. Unfortunatly Mcgeady is far superior than the majority of the wasters we have in our team at the moment and that includes Aaron who hasnt been given the oppertunity to prove himself and Beasley who is an utter waste of space in my opinion.
  13. Nope its true Wally took control at the cup final. Why do you think the tactics went arse up. I would rather give Ally the chance for the remainder of the season. We have no chance of winning the league under Smith.
  14. And which were the games that Boyd never started? Actually forgot to include the game last sunday also: Date Jul 30, 2008 Team Rangers Opponent H- FBK Kaunas Competition Champions Lge Result D, 0 - 0 Appearance On 65 Goals 0 Assists 0 Date Aug 5, 2008 Team Rangers Opponent A- FBK Kaunas Competition Champions Lge Result L, 2 - 1 Appearance On 87 Goals 0 Assists 0 Date Sep 28, 2008 Team Rangers Opponent A- Hibernian Competition Premier League Result W, 0 - 3 Appearance Unused Substitute Date Oct 5, 2008 Team Rangers Opponent A- St Mirren Competition Premier League Result L, 1 - 0 Appearance On 65 Goals 0 Assists0 Date Jan 24, 2009 Team Rangers Opponent A- Aberdeen Competition Premier League Result D, 0 - 0 Appearance On 62 Goals 0 Assists 0 Date Feb 15, 2009 Team Rangers Opponent A- Celtic Competition Premier League Result D, 0 - 0 Appearance Unused Substitute Date Mar 8, 2009 Team Rangers Opponent H- Hamilton Academical Competition Scottish Cup Result W, 5 - 1 Appearance On 64 Goals 0 Assists 0 Date Mar 15, 2009 Team Rangers Opponent N - Celtic Competition CIS Insurance Cup Result L, 0 - 2 Appearance On 75 Goals 0 Assists 0 Played: 8 Won: 2 (25%) Draw: 3 (37.5%) Lose: 3 (27.5%)
  15. There were 10 other useless arses out there today, not least our defense, yet Boyd gets it again. He's well short goal scoring form recently (not suprisingly since they tried to force him out the door in January) and should perhaps be dropped from the team. The score line we had today was a result of Walters signing policy in the summer. He wasted good money (9 mil approx) on the likes of Miller, Lafferty, Edu and Velika. Only one of which has featured on a regular basis for us this season and has left us without adequate cover at the back not to mention no natural wingbacks and no quality wingers. Walter consistently plays at least 4 players out of position every single match, he doesnt alter his negative tactics when required to do so and only makes subs at around the 70 min mark. The main guy you should be venting your frustration at is Walter not Boyd. Yes he's playing pish right now, yes he doesn't run around the pitch like a Kenny Miller type player, but he is a damn good goal scorer. Not even wanting to have that option in the squad is ridiculous. Remember the guy cost us 400k not 2 Mil (like Kenny Miller) not 3.5 Mil (like Lafferty) or even 12 Mil (like Flo). If Boyd does go in the summer for 3-4 mil that money is unlikely to be spent on the squad and even if it is Walter would waste it on more pish signings. The guy might be able to pick up a decent defender from time to time but when it comes down to a striker he doesnt seem to know his arse from his elbow (mind you it doesn't help that we have a non-existent scouting system). The team stats for this season: With Boyd Starting Played 26 Won 19 (73.1%) Drew 4 (15.4%) Lost 3 (11.5%) Without Boyd Starting\Playing Played 7 Won 2 (28.6%) Drew 3 (42.9%) Lost 2 (28.6%)
  16. Had to laugh at that one. Most the time his substitutions are most puzzling and I find myself thinking what the hells he done that for.
  17. I said after the Inverness game that he had to go straight away if we were going to have any chance of winning the league. That chance has now gone! Unfortunatly he will probably still be here next season also.
  18. you never quite know how it will sound sung by several thousand throats, but i think the possiblity of the Rangers support singing a Gaelic version is nil percent, especially as many appear to be more interested in being british than scottish, but hey, a man can dream - imagine the interest in Gáidhlig after it being sung at a football match, especilly in the form of a banned song WATP long live Alba p.s double checked and your transelation is correct, are you a native speaker? says you come form Eiliean Skye so im assuming that is the case, im just a lowly learner just started in afct, i had to go look up individuil words and put them together to make my own version, ive been listnign to gaelic music and ho the words are said, and if the words are said correctly it wont sound too bad, but the chances of that are nil. Actually I come from the Isle of Lewis. I am a learner but my 11 year old son is a native gaelic speaker. He sang it (apart from the f****** bit) and it sounds pretty good. It would be good and amusing to see a gaelic version sang but I could never see it happening.
  19. http://www.theherald.co.uk/sport/headlines...st_trophies.php What about Burke? we paid to get rid of him when we should have just kept him until the end of the season. To me he was a cracking wee player (when fit). I know a lot of people on here dont like him, but he fairly brightened things up when he was on. He also had the best delivery in the team (in my opinion).
  20. lol indeed it would, im a Gaelic learner most Gaelic speakers are grassroots supporters - quite a few in glasgow, not sure if any support The Rangers though, its hard to find a decent Gaelic transelater, but if anyones interested i could maybe find/make a Gaelic transelation for TBB - They cant ban what they dont understand keep the HULLO HULLO as its the most iconic bit of the song - similer to how Loch Lomond is sung -part of its in Gaelic. anyone here like the band Runrig? p.s about the gaelic on signs everywhere - most gaelic speakers can also read and write english but tis kinda conforting to be able to aread a language familer to you - like how if you were in france or germany and could speak the language but would be happier with english - a cracking idea! If nothing else it'd show we have a sense of humour as a support. Get to work my friend! Probably the worst gaelic translation ever: Hullo, Hullo Tha sinn an balaich Billy. Hullo, Hullo Bidh thu aithnich le ar fuaim Tha Sinn suas do ar gluan ann ****** fala, Surrender no bidh thu bas, Air son tha sinne An balaich Brigton Derry
  21. It seems that you put a bit off thought into it and its good to see that some supporters are at least trying to be constructive. I would also try and approach the club after step 2 (possibly a meeting which includes the representitives in step 1) and try and see if you could get their backing on the new words. Knowing them they will be as negative (just like some of our fans) but you just never know. I think this move would have a greater chance off been successful with the the clubs backing.
  22. I thought I heard Weir was suspended? Edit (yes he is - jeeze that leaves us with plenty options) :mcgregor: :whittaker: :bougherra: :broadfoot: :papac: :novo: :davis: :edu: :aaron: :boyd: :velicka: Or if Bougerra's out: :whittaker: :broadfoot: :papac: :ssmith: Walts Team will probably be (4-1-4-1): :mcculloch: :dailly: :mcculloch: :mcculloch: :dailly: :dailly: :mcculloch: :ferguson: :ferguson: :mcculloch: :mcculloch: It's a pity for him (and lucky for us) that they havent quite mastered cloning yet!
