It's seems from some (not aimed at the OP ; just a general observation I've seen over the last few weeks) that our good run of 9 wins in 10 was primarily down to Nicholl joining and not Murty. However when we lose it seems to be all Murtys fault. My view on our upturn in form is fairly simplistic. We signed better players in January and now have a better squad. That said as a team Murty, Nicholl, JJ seem to have done well since January collectively as a team.
With regard to the subs or lack thereof whilst I agree it should have been changed earlier I can also see why it wasn't. IMO Murphy was our best player and wasn't coming off. Candeias wasn't far off and wasn't coming off either. Buffalo was causing them problems and is a threat. Taking Goss off could have been risky as we could have been left short in midfield. Windass could have been an option but I don't think he was as bad as made out and he's always a threat. His shot should have got us a point if buffalo scores.
We had 33 minutes left when they were down to ten. We had loads of time to break them down. There was no need to force the issue. We didn't need to change it straight away.
Murtys post match comments were actually fairly accurate when he said the players weren't trying to play through them, weren't moving it fast enough and were crossing from too deep.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If buffalo puts us 3 - 2 up I think we win and probably win pretty comfortably. He didn't. We lost and everyone involved is culpable but moreso the players IMO. Murty is not without his faults but even when Cummings came on everything Murty said the players weren't doing they continued to do them. We only really played through them once after Cummings came on. Cummings coming on earlier wouldn't have guaranteed anything. I guess we'll never though.

That aside that performance today was what we’ve been crying out for - that’s what a back to basics competent manager brings you. 
The second half we had belief and fight which is all we’ve been lacking .. that and some basic organisational skills 
I’m not a fan of his overall but wee Holt was superb covered every blade and was winning 50-50’s with ease

picking him is just desperation to see some of this 2.5 million value he somehow was bought for but he wouldn't get in the team on merit so far, looks hopeless tbh.
 

Wouldn't have him anywhere near the team in a battling away fixture. He didn't have the heart for the fight at Ibrox against the Edinburgh two and i don't think he has the heart for this one either. I don't know what people see in him. I watched him attack down the left flank v Dundee about 4 or 5 times only to stop, look back and pass the ball backwards because he didn't have the nous or guile to even attempt to take his man on and be positive, no one on one skill, nothing. This is against the worst team in the league. I just can't take to him. I think he makes far too many poor decisions and goes missing far too easily in games. I appreciate he is young and i understand this is a huge step up for him and i do also accept he has potential but right now we need 11 warriors who can all play and contribute. Morelos for example is possibly younger yet has 10 times the heart Windass has. 
Dorrans also has to seriously play further up the park, he has been anonymous in with Jack and playing almost in Ryan Jacks shadow.  Get him wide using his craft, skill, guile and delivery in the area of the park where it matters and is more suited to. 

I do not think running with the ball for 30 yards then falling over, running with the ball bumping into an opponent and falling over, running with the ball losing control and falling over justifies that appraisal. He did have a couple of shots against Motherwell but apart from that it has been a repeat of his falling over choices before he goes missing for the next 70 minutes.

Is there any chance that Windass might still be injured for this game ?
I have nothing against the lad personally but I think he is a pish footballer. 

If there is a footballer in there he is keeping it well disguised, I know it is early days but I have seen nothing that makes me think he can do a job for us.

I think the UBs should be moved to a prominent standing section which should also be offerred to other ST holders but so far the UBs have continued to allow people to set off flares at Ibrox and beyond and until that stops how do you expect the club to trust you ?

Major overreaction tbh, yes we've looked decent in the previous two pre season games but they're not competitive and essentially meaningless. The proof in Pedro's ability (or lack of) comes from the results and performances in the important, competitive fixtures which thus far have been a total shambles.

Yeah we played far too narrow on Sunday.  Played right in to their hands and left Tav and Beerman badly exposed.
4-4-2 worked well and the piggery and gave the full backs some protection.

As a season ticket holder I don't want any organisation claiming to represent me, it will only lead to more petty infighting that we seem get with every fan group. 
 

I am struggling to work out how the board can afford a DOF and the scouting and analytical staff cost associated with that role and attract a new head coach with both expecting a reasonable recruitment fund for the next transfer window.
