  1. John Greig the greatest ever Ranger was more successful than McCoist and he still had to go back in the eighties. McCoist will always be super Ally and loved by the fans, but his time as manager is up. He should step down at the end of the season.
  2. I'd give the first team coaches, 12 months notice or whatever is required to end the 12 month rolling contracts. Hopefully McCoist will do the right thing and resign at the end of the season. Not sure what i'd do with Gordon Durie seems to have the under 20s playing well. Who to get in? I'd go for Clough if he'd take it, if not McLeish is still available.
  3. I'll be there, despite the 3 hour drive home and having to get up for work at 5.45, wouldn't miss it. Hope the team has a better night than yesterday tho.
  4. I would have gone for Nigel Clough, knows the English leagues where there are loads of players better then what we have. Sadly having got Sheffield United into an FA Cup semi and got them pushing for a play off position after the mess Davie Weir got them in to, he would be hard to get.
  5. Like most on this thread I have had enough of McCoist as manager. The last decant game we played was against Dunfermline in the last round of the cup. Since then we have been pish and lucky to keep getting results. McCoist got lucky today, we should have been beaten. I've no doubt we will win the replay, we seem to play better away from Ibrox these days. If I was Wallace I would give the coaching staff 12 months notice and get a decent manager in from the English lower leagues, someone like Nigel Clough, who knows how to work on a tight budget.
  6. Would have Boyd back in a heartbeat, give him the ball in the danger zone and he's going to score. Sadly don't think McCoist will even try and get him in at the end of the season. Surely Cribari's wages would cover any wage we would need to offer Boyd.
  7. Never leave before the final whistle, grab a quick pint in the WRC to let the traffic clear, then drive home to Lancashire.
  8. I support Rangers not the board, I hope the board serve us well or get tae fuck.
  9. Sure we will have been paid a suitable fee, no doubt much needed. Wallace has to increase revenue.
  10. I think part of the 120 day plan will be to move on some or all of the current management team.
  11. If you want to see us in administration again, don't renew your season ticket, it's quite simple! This so called Rangers man is playing with fire calling for a boycott. No money will either mean admin now or borrowing money gauranteed by Ibrox or Murray Park. I will not desert my club!
  12. The only people who will suffer if things go tits up is us the fans. Its our club and between us the small shareholders own at least 12% of the shares if not more. Do people really want us to withhold our season ticket money, so Dave King can buy our shares on the cheap. he's not going to do it just now as he would have to pay near on 70p a share, wait another 6 months or so and he can buy it all for about 25p a share, a considerable saving.
  13. McCoist for anybody. This is shite yet again, something has to change.
  14. Apart from Lee Wallace's goal, it's been a dire first half. We are too slow going forward, passing backwards allows Stranraer to get back. We simply can't pass over any distance. I only hope Stranraer tire in the second half.
  15. I trust Wallace, I like the cut of his jib, nothing i have seen or heard about him gives me any doubts.
  16. The 120 days is to allow Wallace to work out where we go from here. Forget the past, none of the current board were here when the IPO money was spent, some of which was unavoidable, ie paying off the oldco footballing debt. All that matters now is how we spend the next tranche of ST money and any additional income we can get in from our various sponsors etc. Hopefully our income will increase, the ST will cost considerably more than this season, it was a mistake to hold the price down in my opinion. Will we get 36000 season tickets sold, probably not but you never know. The wage bill will be reduced further when Cribari and the other players who are out of contract leave. Would like to see some of the dead wood move on but can't see anyone giving up their cushy contracts. More investment is needed so expect a further share offering. The only thing I would hope Wallace spends money on is our scouting system and youth coaching, it's the only way forward.
  17. No need to bring anyone in, save the wages of the players out of contract for the following season. Surely a couple of the young lads can get a few games before the end of the season to show what they can do. Give the big Canadian a chance at centre half, he can't be any slower than Jig at the mo.
  18. The squad is good enough to survive in the top league but that's about it. Too many of the players were fund wanting yesterday, even Wallace seemed reluctant to make his usual charging runs up the left.
  19. This thread should really be about Jig. I have every respect for him and the goals he has scored for us over the past 2 years, but sadly the time has come for him to at least drop to the subs bench. He is getting slower and slower every game. Time for him to make use of his coaching badges.
  20. Why would the current institutional investors plus others with large stake holders allow the club to slide into administration. It's all bollocks, if we need money to continue until the season ticket money arrives, those investors will cough up what is required or will arrange for a suitable loan facility. I'd like to see Dave King invest but he clearly won't give us any money without suitable control. Let Graham Wallace do what he is paid for. If my 2 season tickets have to go up considerably (20+%) next season, so be it. Sure Wallace has plans to increase revenue from various sponsors, We will be in a higher league so revenue should increase. Two more Scottish Cup games will also help, let alone the final should we get there. Things aren't great, but they could be worse, we still have a team to support!
  21. I only wear my top when I travel up to games. Had no issues until about 4 weeks ago, the Blackthorn logo is coming off in small pieces. I only wash it a 30 degrees C and turned inside out! Basically the top is shite, I won't bjuy another one unless the quality improves.
  22. I'd have McGregor back at the drop of a hat. yes I wish he had tupe'd over so we could have made some money from selling him pronto. We couldn't afford any of the old SPL players, how much did Boca & Goain cost to pay off. Wouldn't have Naismith or Whittaker back after that interview, as bad as scum!
  23. I don't hate Ally, I have every respect for him, he held the club together during our worst times. Sadly I don't think he is going to make a great manager, I hope I'm wrong, but i just don't see it happening.
  24. I will be renewing our 2 season tickets. I admit the football can be pretty dire, today was no exception, however this is probably the most important time to be a fan. All the success we've had in the past and all our future success will be nothing compared to the last 18 months and next 18 months. We were almost put out of business for good and no one gave us a helping hand, the only real reason Rangers are still going, is down to the loyalty of the fans. I for one will never forget these years in the lower leagues and I'm sure in time they will mean as much if not more than the 9 in a row years.
  25. Really saddened that Ian Redford has passed away. I am the same age and enjoyed watching him play for us in the 80s. Thought he was a good player, RIP.
