Hopefully it takes some pressure off our players. This is a huge run in to get us back to the big time, and maybe some players have a weight more than others. This is a good cushion to have.

How many points clear?

We were poor today; it was clearly one of our worst performances of the season. Not one player took a leadership role and acted with responsibility over the match in terms of dictating play. Miller tried hard when he came on, there was a phase after the goal where McKay played better, but we needed certain players to be leaders out there, instead of letting the game pass them by. Halliday was poor I thought, and the midfield as a whole had no authority whatsoever.  Glad for the win, but we must play a lot better than that.

I back every player and very rarely criticise any of them, oh and I have never booed my team. So I tend to think of myself a model supporter.
i was hopeful he would be a great asset and fully supported his aquisition.
he seems a model pro, and gives his all, but unfortunately he has been found wanting in my opinion.
the fact that I think Waghorn is a far superior player, doesn't make me a bad person. 
If he goes on and proves me wrong then I am big enough to admit my mistake, I'm no expert just a supporter.

I totally agree. I only watch the UCL or UEFA Cup when we're in it, otherwise I find it all a bit dull.
The rules are unfair, but UEFA have them in place to protect their product. It is rubbish, but we just have to put up with it since it doesn't happen too often.

Anyone watching just the first 20 minutes alone would find it hard to believe we drew that match; we could have had five goals in the first half. We did everything apart from score many goals. sometimes results like this happen.

If I had been a neutral I'd have liked that match. As cup games go, it was a great game of football. The attendance wasn't bad, and not many left before the end. Somehow the goal we needed seemed to be coming, and very nearly did. For a 0-0, it was good. Pity we didn't win, but playing a SPL team away from home might be no bad thing.

I'm not too fussed about the draw.   If we had took our chances we would be in the QF tonight,  it's pretty clear though that we need strengthening in the summer. I'm sure everybody at the club is well aware of whats needed to take us up to the next level.
Also a wee double header against a premiership club is a good learning curve for the players here now, and our management team. 
 
Should be a tough match but  I'm reasonably confident that we'll go to the next round. I think we are the better team and just need to be more clinical in front of goal, on another day Tav would have burst the net and  Wilson's chance would have dropped in under the bar. 
We're a work in progress and heading in the right direction . Onwards and upwards Bears. 

We did so many things right today, putting the ball in the back of the net would have finished it off. We are playing some attractive football though so neutrals might be attracted to that, I liked that game on TV, in past years we have had some games that you think, everybody in Britain can see this.

Yeah I think O'Halloran and Billy king could be a big miss but I am still confident we can get the job done.

I agree with you.  He's a step above anyone we have at keeping possession and will only improve.  That surface was a ploughed field and he was still passing and moving.  Plus it is good to show Arsenal you can bring their players on and they might loan you more in future.

I am clearly in a minority here, but he and Waghorn are are our two best players, in terms of skill and technique etc. Zelalem is the best player we have at keeping possession, and he was sorely missed in the match we lost against Falkirk, where we badly struggled to compose ourselves in midfield and keep possession. He is vastly under-rated.

Zelalem is an excellent player, and to not see that is madness.
He controls the game, has excellent technique and is way ahead of so many others on the park.

Right, so according to you, and most of the posters on here apparently, he isn't the best midfielder at keeping possession; the midfield did well against Falkirk when we lost to them, without Zelalem in the side; he and Waghorn are not the two best players at the club in terms of skill and technique etc? Yet, Mark Warburton has kept him past the Transfer Window, and plays him in the team regularly?

Don't think I've seen Rangers play with such a young midfield as the trio that ended the game for us.  Considering we also had two wingers on the park, there was also a distinct lack of physicality in the team in that period.  I have to admire MW for trusting in our younger players, and opting for skill before brawn, at the crunch time in such a key game.   Don't think too many of our previous managers would have done it.
We might live on the knife edge at times, and we may well come a cropper in certain games, but MW philosophy on the game is a breath of fresh air IMO.
