  1. most bears blame Minty (rightly or wrongly) for getting us into the mess, he was Never a real Rangers man, in the true sense of the words. remember he tried to buy Ayr United before and claimed to be an Ayr supporter. but non rangers men can become legends e.g. John Greig who never hid the fact he was a jambo i thought there were businessmen who supported Rangers and had the necessary funds, but when push came to shove they bottled it.
  2. agreed. innocent until proved guilty. united we stand, divided we fall. if the blue knights etc had put the money where their mouths were, then it could have been different, but they did not. we would all have been happier had real Rangers men taken control, but despite the rhetoric nothing happened. so for now, we have to be happy that we have a club to follow.
  3. quote "the Glasgow Rangers, the teddy bears," next line censored. as a youngster attending Ibrox the announcer over the tannoy always used to say "welcome to The Stadium" i always thought this was to show we had a Stadium, others had parks
  4. just read elsewhere, that Neil Murray (chief scout) has been suspended. surprised it,s not Hot on here.
  5. i thought these wind up calls would end after the tragic suicide of the nurse, who was duped by Australian radio, on reavealing details about the health of Prince William,s expectant wife. just shows some timothy people will never learn
  6. i always thought Whittaker should have played R.Mid. he was a decent, attacking player, but a hopeless defender. anyone who thinks he could defend should look back at Euro games where he shown up. bad enough at R.B. but L.B.? nightmare
  7. dead against being fastracked we are nowhere near ready for the S.P.L. and we should let them stew while we rebuild and regain our rightful place based soley on merit, and sporting integrity. or does that only count sometimes?
  8. how the management cannot see how bad we are in defence i do not know. Jig must be moved to C.B. at least he will challenge for a ball in the air. despite his goal tally i just do not see him as a striker. in an ideal world he would be in midfield holding role, but due to circumstances must be played in central defence a.s.a.p.
  9. for over a century Rangers and Celtic for the most part had excellent relations, and backed each other in numerous situations. the was a mutual respect if not love between them. however since Liewell & Lennon appeared relations have deteriorated at an alarming rate. the tragic "Phil O,Donnell" case, was manipulated to benefit Celtic. "sporting integrity" was invented for Manchester. and of course used again with septic at the forefront to get us removed from the S.P.L. so i am in no rush to be involved in any "fastrack" moves to gain early entry back into the corrupt and almost bankrupt S.P.L.
  10. surely in the name of "sporting integrity" we must move up on merit only.? no fast tracking for me, so the 10 SPL clubs incuding septic who voted us out, can wait a bit longer to get their hands on any more of our money.
  11. when i was a teenager, a few years ago, we at away games, always headed for as near as we could to where tv cameras were. so that "our songs" could be heard on the highlights, later, not much live football in those days. however, what was acceptable then is no longer acceptable in the 21st century. i remember a cup final v. hertz, can,t remember date but in 70,s when for almost all of 90 minutes, the bears belted out. U.D.A. all the way F.T.P and the I.R.A. so i have sympathy with the younger fans, but we have to realise it,s no longer the way to support the team. i know of course how frustrating this is, when many think we are being singled out for special treatment, by the easily offended. and unfair treatment from press, radio and t.v.companies. i know of the double standards, with timothy & declan at Dundee, also at Tynecastle the season before that. and sound being turned down at "poppy day" protests in Falkirk to suit the Eastenders. but we must show "we ARE the people" and rise above them, after all we are better than our critics
  12. i agree wholeheartedly with you on this. the first time i have disagreed with Mr. Green, albeit he may be playing a "Kissenger" role here i suspect?
  13. it would be great if Britney, & Whyte showed up. i,m sure they would receive a very warm welcome. well done Chas. doubt if S.D.M. would ever have went to such an event
  14. Central Defence is a huge problem especially in the air, once fit, Jig must play there. Fraser Aird should get much more game time, he always looks lively and tries his heart out. unlike some higher earners
  15. the ones i remember best were, during the era of Davie White , (not a great era) Lex said "did you hear about the coloured chap (changed for p.c.) driving past Ibrox?" he said "thank God i,m no White" Scot Symon era (much better era) Lex "do you know how to tell which cars outside Ibrox belong to first team players?" answer "they are all Simonised"( which was a famous car polish at the time)
  16. i have been advocating 14-14-14 for years. not enough teams of quality for bigger leagues, after home and away fixtures giving 26 games the top SIX play againn home and away giving a futher 10 games total 36 games for top clubs. and does away with the ridiculous scenario at present of playing a different number of games at home or away, or playing the same opponent perhaps 3 times away and only once at home. the bottom 8 clubs play home and away (14 games) giving them a total of 40 games, the lower end clubs could use the extra income from additional games. i would have 2 up and 2 down in each league to avoid meaningless games, with a one off 2 legged play off for teams 3rd bottom, and 3rd top. not in favour of 16, 18 or 20 club divisions at all
  17. East Fife apparently going to vote against, if implemented for next season, though in favour if it is left to the next again season
  18. .totally agree, i cannot believe that nobody has posted any evidence of this, if there is firm filmed evidence of police brutality, then surely this would make the U.B. case more authentic. i have no axe to grind with U.B. in fact i think by and large they do a fantastic job, however they should stop the coloured flares which were again evident at Hampden on Saturday
  19. Charles Green is alleged to be on half the money that Martin Bain was on. in my view Chas is worth every penny, not like Martin Bain who was vastly overpaid and didn,t do a lot to fight our corner.
  20. must say i dislike the threat of violence propounded by some on here. however now that the boycott of this match is official club policy, then i think most will follow the official line. however should some individuals decide (as is their democratic right in a free country) to attend this match, them i feel strongly that any threat of violence, is only playing into the hands of our Many enemies
