He is on a par with the rest of the team. You can go through that whole team in a similar manner, in every position. Not one position will match up to decent Rangers teams of the past...........not even close. I don't blame him for today. Have to say that the chipped penalty was an absolute case of salt rubbed in the wounds. I don't remember a Rangers keeper losing one like that in an Old Firm?  A severe case of taking the absolute piss!  Does happen at even the top level mind.

I agree with the first bit, however, he still shouldn't act like that. However its symptomatic of the fact that Murty has lost any respect from the players.
 
That being said, players look for any excuses to apportion blame away from themselves and by doing this the players were trying to deflect from themselves onto Murty. I find that really distasteful.

If you finish second, you fulfil the potential of the team you have for this season. That is about where they should be. I think they underachieve if they don't do that. Underachievement is failure. It isn't failure, not to win the SPl this year. That would have been a massive over achievement.
 Many a Rangers team have finished second in the league.  Many of those teams had fabulous players.  It is unacceptable, if we are outspending, or on a spending par, with scum, and do not win or go to the wire.  You are right I care about second. Sheep have rubbed our noses in it with being better than us. Why wouldn't you want to turn the tables? Establish your foothold and get ready for the next step. It is simple logic.

Got to face facts. This is an absolute enigma we have with Morelos. Great presence and positioning with power and strength. Troublesome to defences and can ghost in with headers and decent finishing at times. The point is though that there have been too many misses. I don't remember so many sitters missed in a short space of time. Unless you are scoring in the same games regular, you just cannot continue missing like this. Like today, these chances will come at vital times and it can be the difference between win and lose. He now has to bounce back from this?  How hard is that going to be?

It's seems from some (not aimed at the OP ; just a general observation I've seen over the last few weeks) that our good run of 9 wins in 10 was primarily down to Nicholl joining and not Murty. However when we lose it seems to be all Murtys fault. My view on our upturn in form is fairly simplistic. We signed better players in January and now have a better squad. That said as a team Murty, Nicholl, JJ seem to have done well since January collectively as a team.
With regard to the subs or lack thereof whilst I agree it should have been changed earlier I can also see why it wasn't. IMO Murphy was our best player and wasn't coming off. Candeias wasn't far off and wasn't coming off either. Buffalo was causing them problems and is a threat. Taking Goss off could have been risky as we could have been left short in midfield. Windass could have been an option but I don't think he was as bad as made out and he's always a threat. His shot should have got us a point if buffalo scores.
We had 33 minutes left when they were down to ten. We had loads of time to break them down. There was no need to force the issue. We didn't need to change it straight away.
Murtys post match comments were actually fairly accurate when he said the players weren't trying to play through them, weren't moving it fast enough and were crossing from too deep.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If buffalo puts us 3 - 2 up I think we win and probably win pretty comfortably. He didn't. We lost and everyone involved is culpable but moreso the players IMO. Murty is not without his faults but even when Cummings came on everything Murty said the players weren't doing they continued to do them. We only really played through them once after Cummings came on. Cummings coming on earlier wouldn't have guaranteed anything. I guess we'll never though.

I can't say i'm especially bothered about Wilson. There have been a few defenders in my time watching us who were 100% quality and you would be gutted if they were not on the team sheet. Butcher in his initial period, Gough, Cuellar, Boumsong etc who strolled through matches in the brief time he was here. They were leaders and a commanding presence. Wilson is not one of those players. 
Wilson has improved a little but for the large part has been fair to middling at best and certainly not pushed on massively. He is no longer a young player and we have other options now in his position who are probably no worse than him and deserve a chance to improve. I suspect the decision was reached given our defensive options that funds would be better spent strengthening the forward line with Cummings and Murphy than giving him new contract. That should be the reality of life at a big club. If you are not consistent or are just average you need to be moved on. 

He possibly was. I would sometimes rather have that than, he said this and I said that. Murty often does that. "I said to the players at half time" sort of thing. I am hoping he can get past a lot of that explaining himself. Astute managers, don't have to do it.
 I don't think we need to always know every small detail, of these changing player negotiations. The outcome with DW is probably best all round.
