  1. We were informed about reconstruction that we would play no part in reconstructing the reconstructure of the newly reconstructed football leagues.
  2. I suppose we could always fill our commitments to the SFA/SFL by using our youth team/2nd eleven in Scotland and go and play in the Atlantic league under a different football authority/contract. It's not as if they'll miss us and we have f@@k all to play for, for the next 4 years. And just to rub salt in make sure our 2nd eleven never get promoted.
  3. To be honest C**t*c have a massive support in Manchester & Liverpool, where as we seem to be favoured in the south. The English teams are not going to give up the golden goose to allow us to enter when they can get up to £50m for being relegated. The Arsenals and Tottenhams of this world would probably embrace it, but try telling the other 14 diddy teams.
  4. Want and need are two very different words......"I want a bike for xmas and I need a heart bypass". They just don't like to admit it.
  5. Hopefully CG will make everyone aware that Rangers are not in favour of this reconstruction and his hands are tied. We as a club get on with the business of getting stronger season by season and hopefully pick up some silverware along the way. At the end of the day if Sky don't like it they'll walk away and they'll all be f@@ked.
  6. To spread the wealth evenly between the lower clubs Rangers and that other mob need to play to the masses, so IMO a larger league is needed. A 20 & 22 league format with 3 up 3 down, simples. Bring back the Dryborough cup for Sky and those yearning for the OF games.
  7. Great article JT, though " you were only only supposed to blow the bloody doors off".
  8. If i'm correct in thinking this is why Scottish football is in a mess. I recall the SPL/SFA knocking back a deal of £50m for tv rights from sky and the SPL/SFA saying they could get better deal(s) elsewhere. Sky called their bluff and we ended up with a £10m contract with Sentanta, the rest is history.
  9. It's not the reconstruction of the leagues that worries me but the less obvious merger of the SPL/SFL in the small print. "Gotcha" springs to mind.
  10. You will embrace this rebellion. Support it from our lands in the north. I will gain English favor by condemning it and ordering opposed from our lands in the south.
  11. Scotland has far too many teams per capita. IMO the only way Scottish football would/could survive is by taking drastic action, it's going to sound ridiculous but i believe they should look at amalgamating teams. Hearts/Hibs, Dundee/Utd, Aberdeen/Inverness and so forth. I would say there's enough room for another Glasgow club with all the small teams in and around Glasgow. Rangers and the other team are the only 2 that can stand on their own. It's only a thought but sometimes you have to think outside the box. Ok i'll get my coat on the way out........... Or at least ground share.
  12. Reading some of the comments of the paper from people who live there, he seems to be an honest enough bloke which is a rare thing in politics.
  13. Would love to see him get the Chancellors job and watch the Scottish media write, through gritted teeth, positive things about a Rangers supporting guy done good. I'm guessing the Scottish media up there hasn't run with this yet or are they too obsessed to see a good story.
  14. Read this in the paper today and thought he may be taking the term "h**" too literally. On a more serious note he seems quite a politician, pity he doesn't ply his trade here. After climbing high and fast through the ranks of Germany’s CDU conservative party, pundits speculate great things lie in store for 41-year-old David McAllister, who is up for re-election as governor in the state of Lower Saxony later this month. The son of a German mother and a Scottish father from the tough Gorbals area of Glasgow, he is recognised as one of the leading figures in Germany's ruling Christian Democratic Union party. 15. And Green added: "How can Manchester United's revenues be £320m and Aston Villa, who are completely useless, get £250m? Seems Charlie boy knows more than he lets on, I bet he's having a wee chuckle to himself.
  16. Playing like this I'll take any type of win, can't see the football improving second half.
  17. Not that i can remember, but did sell it on to an American collector for a healthy profit............I kept the history bit to myself as i had met the Queen at the time and that bit was priceless.
  18. I don't know but i bought a Silver Jubilee mug once..........does that count?
  19. Didn't Laudrup leave us for more money as he was nearing the end of his career for £50k a week at Chelsea? The only player I wouldn't begrudged a penny for services rendered.
  20. Seems we are the only show on down here as well..........Whilst out last night at a pub I saw this.
  21. The Ferdinand incident was understandable, it was a Euro and City fans had no use for them anymore.
