I'm a Warburton fan but he has made an arse of this.
He's spent the largest part of his budget probably on wages for a players who's been shite, caused trouble, now won't let him back into the team and even worse now can't afford to get rid of. Terrible management.
I for one believe Barton still has something to offer the team however if Warburton doesn't want him there and this all came about from a training ground spat then it is poor management from an inexperienced manager. He should never have signed him.
You can't help but think if this was Sir Walter he would have given Barton a slap and a suspension and either got rid or gave him a second chance but it would have been dealt with in a few days, not a month. He cut off a treble winning captain and banished him from the team and we all knew where he stood. Warburton needs to man the fuck up and tell us what's happening.
Either tell us Barton can get back in the team or tell us he's done then we and the rest of the team can move on and focus on what's important.

We've been a fucking embarrassment from start to finish. Sack the guy 3 weeks ago or draw a line under it. He could still be a player for us, Halliday having 3 good games doesn't make him less of a weakness at dm than he was last season. Barron had the likes of Kranjcar next to him or was played out of position with Rossiter in his ffs. We'll be spending January's transfer budget paying him off as well.

Everyone did play shite that day and black wasn't the only shitebag on the pitch but it's black we were talking about in this thread.
Gave 100% in the majority of games... meh, need to disagree with that, I remember when he used to play against us for hearts and would kick everything that moved, never pulled out a challenge and seemed to be all over the pitch breaking up play or setting up moves. That was him giving 100%.  I never saw him perform like that in our midfield.

Hes an abrasive and  divisive character at the best of times. This is no surprise to me that this has transpired and should be no surprise to anyone. Telling fellow players that he is just trying to help them improve and that they are playing at a much lower level than he is used to is an amazing statement - especially since he has been mince since he got here.

People always say he gets an easy ride from people because he's a Rangers supporter but I actually think that draws more attention to him and leads to more criticism than he would get if he wasn't a known fan.
For example, I think Halliday & Holt were both great for us over the course of last season but both of them tailed off after Christmas, yet you don't see anywhere near as much criticism for Holt as Halliday got.
Halliday is no world beater, but I think he's a really valuable player to have in the squad.

Anyone who thinks or expects us to be winning the league spending £3m, and from where we were 18mths ago is absolutely living in lala land.
This isn't 2010. We don't have a £25m squad and £28m wage bill - but we have almost the same expectation on 25% of the budget.
The fact is our wage bill isn't that much more than Aberdeen and we are operating at about 30% of the expense of Celtic.

I spoke to Barton on Saturday night after the game he was genuinely upset and couldn't apologise enough about the performance. no footballer wants to lose. I admire his character that he's not taking defeat lightly 

Fair doos to him. Not many players would have the balls to come out and say that right away. He needs to back up these words and up his game. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise and got the fire in the belly. Win your place back Joey.

Wallace is far better when he can attack freely, this is normally helped with a midfield who win the ball back quickly and two centre-backs who don't need babysat throughout the game

As long as we don't need start both Rossiter and Barton then I'm confident that whatever team we put out in midfield and the front three will do damage.

Halliday should start. He's made for the big games, always keeps his head and does the right thing. His old manager at Bradford said it about him as well, he had him down as MOTM when Bradford beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge
Halliday was very good against Celtic last season, against Dundee and Kilmarnock as well. (last season)
There is the element that he's a big Rangers fan as well, it's not the only reason he should be picked but these things do matter, if it were me in Hallidays' shoes, I know how much I'd want to play to my absolute best to help Rangers beat those mhanky bastards. He'll give it his all and leave nothing on the pitch.

I think MW will pick MOH for the savilles, this will be the first game that we go into where the opposition isn't expected to sit back against us.
