Haris Vuckic, he's Slovenian and supposedly a decent prospect. I've seen his long range attempts, first hit the bar and the other one was tipped over by Foster, seemed like a decent player.

Well actually it's often Busquets the one who slips back into the hole from his midfield position. Abidal has been playing as a centre back anyway for a lot of this season with Pique and Puyol being out for longer periods.

I love that about playing in Germany. Very easy going, only 34 league games, only 1 cup competition, so there's not much fixture congestion and you don't have to rotate like crazy.

I see your point, but they have the advantage of being able to sign Brazilian players without needing to worry about work permits. They've signed a bunch of them, all first team players, who'd never in a million years qualify for a work permit here. There's tons of Brazilians who'd be better than players currently in the SPL, but can't be signed cause of WP issues. Oh and obviously these players are much cheaper as well. They also have a fair few Portuguese players, so Portuguese is almost the main language in the team. Good result for Apoel, but not much local identity.
