  1. All the Ultravox puns have left me with tears I’m my eyes.
  2. I hope your positivity is well placed. I feel the same, while being a bit cautious due to recent history. Probably have a much clearer position after the next 2 European qualifiers (hopefully) and the trip to the piggery.
  3. I agree with most of your points, but I think tonight’s disaster for them is linked to our journey. It prevents them getting a fair financial boost and cuts the gap further. But it’s certainly important for us to look after our own affairs before looking at them.
  4. Agreed. But as much as it’s great, it is imperative that we keep it going by looking after our own affairs.
  5. It all started the moment Gerrard was presented to the crowd. In fact, what was a mind blowing crowd. Then we get a phenomenal reaction from the football world. Zidane, Guardiola commenting on the new Rangers manager - a sure sign we’re back in the big-time from a profile perspective. The papers make ridiculous links to players we had no chance of signing in an attempt to undermine the positivity by creating disappointment. But we’ve had so much dross over the last few years that we’re realists. Didn’t fall for it while the signings being made continued to promote positivity. Then we see the team in action and the signs are there. Solid looking back four. Strong keeper.Dynamic looking midfield. And physical. Everything we have complained about for years appears to be reversed. Meanwhile, celtic sign 2 players they already had. Fail to address their weaknesses (to date), spunk money in a light show instead of the easiest signing they could have made. Brendan’s rattle is out the pram and the blame everybody but me show starts. Out of the CL to a mediocre AEK. And the paedo timebomb a pre-pubescent baw-hair from blowing. Yes, the feelgood factor is well and truly back. Let’s keep it going starting with Maribor on Thursday and hitting top gear at the piggery with a victory there on the back of an unbeaten run! So whats the feeling? Another false dawn or is this the start of the end of ‘The Journey’?
  6. Epitomised what some players referred to when they said the jersey was too heavy. I wouldn’t be surprised if he kicks on at Wigan and does quite well so a sell on clause would be good.
  7. Understandable maybe. But they should maybe take a stand but not publicly? After all, the constant negativity is damaging to the brand. But if there was ever an opportunity to justifiably make a public statement it may be around Walker and Crocker laughing and joking about supporters chanting in celebration of an injury.
  8. I remember enjoying press conferences by Warburton to begin with. But it soon became clear he was re-hashing the same script every week. But these ones seem different. Steering away from cliches, seems to know his stuff and there seems a genuine connection with the players and in return respect back. If press conferences win you the league we’d romp it!! But, taking them as an indication of how things are at the club, things seem positive and we have a manager and players making all the right noises. I’m pretty positive.
  9. Now, surely this shit hole of a pub would be impossible to end up in to a travelling supporter. It’s obvious that they have been sought out and invited ahead of the fixture with one plan in mind! It’s obsessed to the point of mental sickness that these are the lengths they are going to. The most dangerous element is the fact they pulled tried to attack indiscriminately genuine fans walking to the match! Glad they got what they deserved but shame the instigators kept out of the dirty work.
  10. I think you’ve got it spot on. I think European money would have delayed the inevitable and as stated in another post it’s more money for Whyte to have misappropriated. The only thing which may have changed may have been us winning the league that year. Delaying the financial collapse may have delayed the collapse on the pitch - remembering we were well ahead by about 15 points at one time. I still believe the players stopped playing with all the crap in the background and this may have been delayed. But you can never second guess what was going on at that time.
  11. Hopefully get someone to really excite us. Breath held.
  12. The whole format is a shambles.
  13. This. I reckon it’s the daily retard putting a negative spin on this guy knowing that it’ll potentially turn bears against this boy before he’s even put a jersey over his head. Same cunts have the unwashed believing Boyata is a player with fictional links to big clubs.
  14. You may be right in terms of fan base growth potential. But with that fan base they have massively under achieved for years, possibly decades.
  15. Both of these clubs should be bigger than they are. One city clubs with no rivals for the local fan base.
  16. I agree with the OP and was going to post something similar. Forget rivalries and our own opinions on the sheep - it’s a bad sign when a player from a top league club (and one of the better ones) to go to a non-league club. The money in English football is crazy and I’ve maintained anyone leaving us for a team outside of Man U, Arsenal and maybe Liverpool are taking a step down in size and history of club. But Aberdeen to Salford really shows where Scottish football now ranks in England. Maybe would have been different had the other clubs in Scotland not pandered to the anti-Rangers agenda thus fucking the product up further than it already was.
  17. Maybe once the Torbett trial is concluded it strengthens any victims hand for making a claim. Hopefully a case of wait and see. And I’d one victim is successful the my will sniff the money and there’ll be a glut of claims.
  18. I’ve just taken a hefty shite which is offended at being categorised as the same species as this vermin. In my opinion this is as criminal and offensive as many hate crimes being punished. How any genuine organisation can employ this filth is beyond me.
  19. We should have won it 3 times. On the basis we shouldn’t have played in it the 4th time!
  20. I think he was starting to look good before being one of several players injured by some pretty shocking tackling by opposing players. Never really looked fit or sharp after that and was played out of position. With fitness regained, better players around him and hopefully a midfield enforcer added to the team for protection I’d like to see Dorrans have a significant impact and pitching in with a few goals and assists.
  21. 3 tough away games in the first 4 including Aberdeen and celtic. Did Murdoch McLennan have the password for the ‘random’ computer? However, it’ll sicken them further when we sit top of the league with 12 points though....
  22. I agree. Good that we’re sticking it to them but allowing this prick to leave by not re-standing as opposed to getting the boot sticks in the throat a wee bit.
