Bearsden bear reacted to graeme_4 in Currie club with mick beale on success at Rangers
I think they would have. Gerrard and Beale had celtic’s number.
Ridiculous thing for him to come out and say though.

Bearsden bear reacted to left winger in Players have been given a 2 week 'holiday'
While they may be playing shite, there is nothing wrong with taking a couple of weeks off. In fact, it probably makes more sense that they do, then come back refreshed - hopefully under a new manager (unlikely, I know) - ready to go.

Bearsden bear reacted to The Godfather in Gio Discussion Thread
We were well ahead in the league when he came in. This is worse than back then. We have dropped 7 points in 4 games while being shagged every other mid week by every team we played. Not to mention taking an absolute scudding to them a few months back.
Keeping this manager would be sheer negligence and an insult to our club. Trouble is those in charge don't give a single fuck about our traditions or trophy count, its all about how much we can make for them.
Tin pot board, spineless manager and a squad of mentally fragile losers.
That's where we are and if we get out it successfully it will be nothing short of a miracle.

10 million can you get you a few decent players. We just decided to spend it on Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo & Ridvan Yilmaz instead.

Ita also more to do with poor recruitment rather than lack of investment. Haksabanovic cost them around £1m less than we payed for Matondo.
Ross Wilson has to be shown the door. He has failed miserably.

The squad we have is definitely more than capable of being less than 9 points behind 4 months into the season. That’s on the manager, his tactics, his training and the way he is able to coach the players and get the best out of them. Which isn’t happening.

Bearsden bear reacted to The Specky Forum Organiser in The anger needs to be aimed at the board
We all knew where this was going after the Liverpool game. Every single one of us. There was 2 points between us and them at that point but these useless bastards have allowed things to go from bad to worse and now the league is gone at the world cup break. Gio is useless and should be gone tonight but our problems are far deeper than that. These bastards deserve absolute hell at the AGM, they are slowly destroying our club.

Bearsden bear reacted to Bannockbear in Gio Discussion Thread
If he's not gone next week, will be a twenty point gap by may. He's depreciated our top assets and filled our team with duds, anyone who thinks the likes of Tilman and sands will drag us to victories in times like this are delusional.

there is no coming back from this today, im 100 percent confident that was Gios last game today.

Bearsden bear reacted to The Specky Forum Organiser in Ryan Kent
Jota and Abada are absolutely levels above him, Forrest when fit is as well. Haven't really seen enough of Haksbanovic and Maeda isn't great but he's more effective than Kent is.
The £4m is absolute nonsense. We spent that on Davies and Yilmaz. Abads cost about half a million more than Matondo, it's not a financial thing it's a recruitment and coaching thing.

Bearsden bear reacted to Andyy53 in Winter Break
In an alternate world where we had a board & director of football who didn’t repeatedly fail at their jobs, this winter break would have us with a new manager having effectively a pre season to assess his squad & strengthen where he deems necessary in the Jan window, but it won’t be. Instead it’ll be Gio & his team probably doing crossing drills in training every day, and then January hits where we’ve got celtic followed by Tannadice & Rugby Park, after which he’ll likely be sacked as we’ll be lucky to come away with 3 points from those at this rate. Every breathing person can see this happening except those in charge. Christ it’s fucking depressing man.
Haven’t answered your question about what the actual setup is but just completely scunnered with the entire thing & needed to vent, apologies.

It didn't come off for Kamara, I agree, but you could see he was trying to do something positive, unlike Arfield who makes simple two-yard passes or constantly clips the heels of opponents drawing fouls.
I don't know what has happened to Kamara under Gio, but he is far too good a player to be sitting on the bench. Someone needs to get him back to his best. That night in Eindhoven he was unbelievable.

Nothing against him other than the fact of him being a massive criminal lucky enough to be in a job at Livi.
Absolutely no way should a guy with that kind of record be anywhere near our coaching staff never mind having the top job.
Im all for giving cunts a second chance in life, but I draw the line at getting a chance at our club.

I'm warming to Dyche. It's either him or Beale for me. The next manager should be British imo.

Bearsden bear reacted to Prso's headband in Gio Discussion Thread
Us and the board need a figurehead, a leader. For the board to save their skins and for us to look too for guidance.
Losing Walter, Jimmy, Goram has really hurt us with Gerrard leaving at the time he did as well. I hate Gerrard for leaving the way he did but we can’t deny he did have an aura about him which carried us sometimes. The club look completely lost in my opinion. I look around the club and we don’t have a single leader anywhere, not even in the directors box anymore.

Just saying what i see bud. Gerrard improved us year on year, under Gio we have gone backwards - and in doing so are playing the most boring football ive ever seen.
Would probably suit us to (even in short term) revert back to Gerrard /Beale set up. Lets face it, we keep persevering with wingers and everyone of them is shit. - solution, dont play a winger!
Midfield barely score either. Best going back to narrow 3 in midfield, push up Tav and Borna and play the 2 number 10's off Alfie.
At least everyone knew their jobs with & without the ball. We are a shambles right now and Gio seems to have tried every player in every position (more than once)
The players arent buying what Gios selling.

Bearsden bear reacted to Dickie in Gio Discussion Thread
Gio took over a settled and successful side and found himself only having to compete with some fat Aussie doing a complete rebuild whose own fans were against him and his board.
You say we were playing shite well when was the last domestic game you really enjoyed under clueless gio.
We had the scum sussed before Gios arrival and now we are back to the days when we just got promoted and got horsed by those cunts on a regular basis.
I won’t forgive gerrard for fucking off the way he did but by fuck he gave us pride and a bit of fight and he wasn’t just an apologist for this fucking board.
Rewrite history! I wish I could erase our most recent history as the worst team in CL history.

League has gone. Europe is over. And it's only the beginning of November.
Squad don't look as fit as last season. The fight we showed last season has gone. Clear to me that the squad don't buy into his tactics.
If the board are actively seeking a new manager but won't say anything until they are ready to announce then I might cut them some slack but rot starts at the top when any business goes into decline.
Some people are just not cut out to be good mangers and Gio is one of them.

Also we never got a real doing off anyone when SG was the gaffer. Think 2 goal margin was the worst.
We have taken a fair few hidings under Gio. I accept the levels maybe up a bit with champs league, but the number and severity are way more than enough to get rid imo.

I'm no huge SG fan and hate the comparisons when it comes to discussing GVB (because he's making an arse of it all on his own) but that's the 1 thing I always liked about SG domestically. He always talked about needing to match the intensity and physicality and win that battle first. That's gone now. Completely gone.
