Well when I first saw this I thought it was major bad news. It's not but the parking is going to be murder if it goes through . We should be inundating the Council with complaints

Good and sensible statement about and issue that effects 35k or so supporters every game.
Not suprised the usual suspects are being overly critical.

onefootwillie reacted to Ozblue in Rangers Pools
I never really got the ins and outs of what went on at that time as I had been in Australia since 1966, but my brother used to send me newspapers that were about 3 months old by the time I received them, which allowed me to keep up with events. I would definitely agree about Murray and I always wonder how many good men and investors he alienated from our Club.

You are perfectly correct ,he predicted big problems on the way the club was run by SDM and he was correct. He was pretty much stitched up by the club. SDM did not like criticism.

Hugh Adam was the driving force back then and deserves a huge amount of credit for it. It paid for our rebuild of the stadium and the amount of money it provided was way above anybody else. Financially it put us out way ahead of anyone else at the time. If I remember correctly Hugh Adam was on the board of Rangers but resigned as he felt the way SDM was running the club was untenable. He got a lot of stick at the time but has been proved right ,a man of principal.

This should be pushed hard far and wide imo,, how many fans do we have worldwide that contribute nothing to the club but would be happy to pay a £6 monthly direct debit to something that will help the clubs finances and also might win you a few quid, I think this could be a winner even outside our fanbase.

Was it not Hugh Adam who was the brains behind the pools, revolutionary idea at the time and pumped money into the club.

Going way back we signed Alex McDonald signed around the time of Colin Stein and everyone was talking about Colin . Wee Doddie must be a contender for our best pound for pound buy at 50k

I couldn't give two fucks if he's at some Chapel talking about his time at school, why would I?
He's not good enough, so i'd rather we cut our losses, get him off the wage bill if we can't get anything for him, at least.
If he was playing well for us i'd be wanting him to stay. No amount of pictures of him at a chapel would change that.

onefootwillie reacted to Brian Fantana in A Thank You
We all have our opinions divided on our most recent managerial positions but i think a thanks is due to Grame Murty and Jimmy Nicholl. They have been placed in a position far from ideal but at least they took the reigns when the board failed in their duties (again) to appoint a decent manager. Murty may not have lived up to perceived expectations but at least he gave it his best and Jimmy produced one of the greatest comebacks - and downfalls - in yesterdays game. I wish them all the best and hope Murty stays on as youth coach, a little wiser and more attuned to the pitfalls of first team management.

Worst set of defenders I have seen at Ibrox in a long time. You could have any formation you like and this lot would ship in a load of goals

onefootwillie got a reaction from Ozblue in Next Season's Captain ? (f.a.o. Mr S. Gerrard)
Unfortunately there are few of the present squad who I would say are captain material. The only one who comes near it in my opinion is McCorie but he is a bit on the young side at the moment and needs to be a regular next season.

At one of these nights in Dunfermline Legion last night, excellent, if you get the chance to attend one of these nights go for it, highly entertaining and through Kevin Thomson an insight of what it's like playing for Rangers. Thomson himself speaks very well and what comes over is his passion about football in general but even more his passion for Rangers Football Club. One story Thommo told stuck in my mind, as you all probably know he's on the coaching staff at Rangers- under 13s - and recently they were at a tournament in Milan where he told the boys, yes he wants them to enjoy themselves but remembers not only on the football park but in everything they do they are representing Rangers Football Club and he expected them to set a standard befitting of a Rangers player. I thought to myself even at this young age Thommo is trying to get through to them that at Rangers it's not just about playing football it's about setting a high standard in everything you do, a Rangers standard. Not that I think Steven Gerrard doesn't know what Rangers is all about but he could do a lot worse than sit down and listen to Thommo speak about them. As I said earlier if you get the chance go to one of these nights jump at it.

Not for me ,While he has a great first touch ,can see a pass and finish ,but has the heart the size of a peanut, lazy ,does not track back and goes missing when the going gets tough. Actually sounds like Windass as well
