Happy with the appointment on paper, think he was as good of a candidate as we could have hoped to appoint, but I won’t be hyping him up or declaring him the saviour out of the gate. I think Ally would have to be considered , Annan ,Alloa , Forfar & Stirling Albion just to mention a few on field embarrassments .

But he at least did the bare minimum and got us promoted twice. Also kept the club together at a difficult time. If he wasn't manager then it's likely Charles Green would have agreed to removing titles during the five party agreement or whatever it was called.

Any new manager is going to give each player a clean slate until he assesses them and to judge if they fit into his plans.

I wish people would stop acting like the presence of Tavernier forced Patterson out of the club or made him have to consider his options. At 20 years old he was offered life changing money, miles above what our best offer to him would ever be, and the opportunity to play in the best domestic league in the world. Whether he had “replaced Tav” or not he was always going to leave once the Everton interest became real.

I am fearful over this appointment if this is the interim. Genuinely.
