More chance of getting a suit than a Rangers top this year then.

GOAT's more than entitled to his view. It's perfectly legitimate to feel scunnered about the likes of McGregor coming back after what he and others done.
    I've mellowed a bit though.
He's not who I'd have signed, thought he was a bit over-rated first time round in all honesty but all I want is a better caliber of player to start competing and he's an upgrade on Foderingham ... cost us nothing, possibly get a couple of million for Fod to spend elsewhere on the team is good business for me.
You don't have to forgive McGregor, I don't - but I've welcomed Mojo, Kenny Miller, Ian Black people who I thought were scummy bastards and got over myself pretty quick. Doesn't make it right, maybe makes us pretty fickle but there's little point not getting behind him.
See both sides in all honesty.

Players are pals with each other no matter who they play for, its no big deal. Rangers players have almost always been pals with tarriers off the park.
Problem is that braindead wank Windass posting it on Instagram just a day after Allan almost snapped Rossiter in half. Fuckin rocket

    Well said mate.
I agree your political catholic these days in West Central Scotland has learned it all from those cunts Sinn Fein across the water.
I also agree the way scum F.C. have ramped up the all things Irish hasn’t helped the situation, as you say we suddenly have scum fans who have no connection to the republic or ever been to Ireland claiming some long lost wrong has been done to them. Couple that with plods reluctance to do anything about the blatant in your face support for a terrorist organisation and they think they are untouchable across the whole of society.

mass immigration from Ireland would more than likely have had similar effects to the immigration of eastern Europeans in recent years
work would have been done cheaper by the immigrants and at a time where there was no welfare state it would have hit the indigenous population hard
no wonder there would have been resentment
.move forward to today and we have the taigs bleating and moaning about a situation that is firmly in the past ,for me it's just a badge of honour to hang round their necks as part of the green and grey uniform .
look over the border to Merseyside where large amounts of Irish also moved to ,the exact same problems would have happened .but there is nowhere near the same religious friction there these days.
I blame the football club in the east end of Glasgow for allowing religious issues to still be an issue these days .They play the feux sectarian card at every opportunity and cover up every part of their horrible past and claim to be the pure

They have worked it in such a way that too question anything catholic and or show any backing to the PUL community you instantly pounced on and branded a bigot.
I’ve no doubt catholics straight of the boat back in the day were treated like scum and wrongly so, but they have pushed the pendulum back so far it’s just as bad to another community in scotland and that isn’t good for anyone.

I have just seen the banner, have they not got the date wrong, should it not be 1888?, I was always told, because of their allegiances there were/are only one set of H*** and they are from the east end of Glasgow!
The word H** is something else that they have managed to turn around to use in their favour while we were being apathetic towards them. They have used every trick in the book PR wise to get at us, to destroy us, to try and make us unpalatable,  from social media to main stream media to canvassing their MPs, while we went down the, usual, 'dignified silence' route, well, it hasn't worked!, the MSM are that deep in their pockets they are reluctant to print any negative stories about them. As I said we have ignored it for so long that even supporters of the smaller clubs like Hibs feel it's open season towards us.
Of course, we get no real help from the very place it should be coming from, our board and our press officer,  yes, they stick out the occasional statement now and again to try and appease our supporters, but that is it they don't follow them up with any action, they let the statements drift away to be forgotten, the cup final, the effigies,  the Hibs tickets allocation, probably heard the last of that?
Maybe a few renditions of 'Go home ya H***' from us at the next celtic game would be a start, then again, Phil 3 names and the rest would turn it round to suggest it's a disguised and subtle version of the Famine Song.
They say jealousy is all consuming, well it certainly looks like it in some sections of Scottish football.

But why is there so much denial about this? It’s this denial or refusal to acknowledge that leads to dignified silence and an ever worsening situation.
There needs to be acknowledgement of the problem and pushback. People need to get more politically active and savvy

It's not just the political angle, why haven't the SFA/SPFL not taken the matter up with Hibs ?  Perhaps they will but after what has happened at the girodome recently, and what they've got away with, I very much doubt it.  It seems they're happy for football grounds to be filled with offensive banners, but if it happened at Ibrox you can bet your life all hell would be let loose and we would be subject to all sorts of penalties.

    Will never happen.
Unionist politicians are like Rangers. Will never defend their core support and will always distance themselves from it because they haven't got the guts to stand up to them.
That's why the peace process is more in favour of nationalists/republicans in Northern Ireland and why the symbols and history of the UK are being demonised on it's very shores.

Unfortunately it's a passion if not more to us but a job to most of them. In your work there'll be lazy cunts that don't give a fuck. That's our players too.
I hope that what Gerrard lacks in management skills he makes up for in leadership, drive and a winning mentality. It's needed. Now.

Glasgow is a taig stronghold run by taigs for taigs. So you are correct mate, the thing is we lost Glasgow a long long time ago, the difference today is they don’t feel they need to hide the bias they show because they control everything.

    Is it not?
dont the GCC favour all things celtic? Wasnt the Offensive Behaviour at football act aimed at Rangers? Didn’t Glasgow vote for independence from rUK? Isn’t Glasgow run by SNP and labour MPs who all have leanings towards the scum? Worse still didn’t we, the biggest football club in Scotland get screwed over and chucked down to the bottom league by a bunch of businessman, banks and a nefarious Inland Revenue
Because that’s what it looks like from afar and while Glasgow might have a higher population of PUL, the dignified silence is leading to marginalisation of that majority which manifests itself in very real ways
I don’t live there so maybe I am wrong and the reality is different from the perception given by the headlines

    Glasgow voted yes.
    As did Dundee.
And the Internet May have been around for 30 years but social media has not. Nor had it been weaponised until the last few years.
I don’t know what you are reading or seeing or hearing but I know many good people that are being turned by the constant narrative now. Britain is bad. Britain is racist. Britain is greedy.
The Internet is polarising opinions and creating echo chambers that grow and change whole countries as evidenced by Cambridge Analytica and Facebook etc.  PUL culture is unquestionable being demonised

What concerns me most is that the war is over.
    We have lost already.
There may still be some battles but we have already lost the big picture.
And I don’t just mean the football. The republic of Scotland looks like it’s coming, they have gained the high ground on social media as well as mainstream media.
i am hearing plenty of neutrals with no ties to Ireland or Catholicism who now consider the Union flag to be representative of bigotry and oppression. Who consider that to be Unionist is equivalent to being Tory which is equivalent to being evil .
The silent majority have allowed us to sleepwalk into this.
Dignified silence is without doubt the most outdated and ridiculous strategy in this age of propaganda and sensationalist fake news. It might have made sense in the old days of broadsheet journalism but in an age of instantaneous cacophony of information we need to be making our voices heard. Whether on a football level, a  professional level or a political level.
Keeping a stiff upper lip, vowing to work harder and being resolute and thinking everything will work out is pure fantasy

The concern for Ferguson, who won five Scottish titles with Rangers, is he doesn’t expect the players to be cut up by the embarrassment.
“I hope it’s hurting those guys in the dressing room but that’s the worrying thing, I don’t think it really hurts them,” he continued.
“Were there choice words said at full-time? I doubt it.”
There should have been heads rolling, people should have been squaring up to one another, boys should be getting called out.
“That’s what happens with teams who have a winning mentality, people who don’t deliver get called out.
But I worry nothing has been said, it’s straight into the shower and straight onto the bus.”

After we lost the opening game there 5-1 last season I imagine Barton went in to that dressing room and called a few people out including the manager.  He was vilified for it one here.

Nothing he says there is untrue or anything but I find it strange with him being so friendly with Scott Brown and Neil Lennon sucking up their arses, how it hurts the rest of the Rangers support with his own actions.
I don't doubt he's hurting, but Rangers men like him are part of the problem too.
However having re-read he's 110% correct to point out that no-one in our team actually cares and is devoid of any winning mentality. That's our biggest problem and as I said yesterday I think it's went beyond the point of repair where we need to cut the rot out and get rid of them all.
