Once the season starts Beale can only concentrate on upcoming matches and the 1st team squad. That suggests the need for a DoF to take some of the weight off the manager.

I am not sure that we need a DoF. All the other departments at the club already have their own manager who probably don't need somebody appointed over them who to justify their position may well start interfering in things they know little about.

Rodgers is clearly having second thoughts about this rumoured return or it would have been announced by now.

We just released 10 or so academy players presumably because they were not deemed good enough. Unless they are as good or better than the 1st player in that position then there is no point in promoting them.

Can't have both Hagi and Tillman. That would not work. It appears unlikely right now that Tillman will come back so for next season we have to go with Hagi.

The chap Dessers is looking like a strong favourite to be brought in. At less than 4M I have no problem with that.

We now have box to box midfielders who can score so if he manages around 15 that would seem like an acceptable return.

I don't think that we are getting a significant fee for Borna given his age. A one year extension means he will not be walking next summer. Unless we get a good bid from another club then to me it makes sense to keep him.
