There are a few differing stories on the bike saga, my own memories suggest it was given as a gift in 1957 by the now defunct Racing Club De France, the bike in the trophy room is not a Puegot as ridden by the 1975 TDF winner Bernard Thévenet. I believe the one in the trophy room is from the french manufacturer MF with the MF logo and French flag, who had historical links to Racing club.I believe St Etienne gifted us a miners lamp in '76, as always I am open to correction if my recollections are somewhat clouded.

I knew Colin and Tom. well, Colin unfortunately no longer with us, I believe Tom is in the carpet business.
Both attended Scotstoun and Victoria Drive schools, note the "grip".
