Did as well as every single person that had watched him over the last few years said he would. Only Beale thought differently. Probably because he saw him score a worldy once playing for PSV under 12s.

If anything summed up the ridiculous arrogance and hubris that our previous manager had, it was blowing a sizeable chunk of our budget on a striker who hadn’t even reached double figures in goals over the last four seasons.
It was a signing that basically everyone apart from Michael Beale knew was never going to work.

Hearing this sort fo stuff, it really frustrates me the more I think about the previous manager. Shocking transfers aside, were we even focussing on the basics in terms of preparation, recovery, organisation and game plan? rather than complicating things with hybrid player shite and inverted 10s or whatever the fuck he was trying.
Michael Beale was too busy trying to be a genius that he forgot not to be an idiot.
