Steakbake 417
In injury time against total scum and after a word with Sue Barker's lover we give the ball back to vermin who run up the park and win a penalty. I don't give a flying f*** for sportsmanship-i would trample on their windpipe to salvage the game-not them, let's be nice. Would make you vomit-no wonder some bears left at that point. GeneralCartmanLee 313
I guess it depends if you want the club to have standards or not….. Amazing that some people only want to remember what should be the good things about our club when it suits them.
Bruno72 0
It's an unwritten rule in football. Shows sportsmanship and I was happy to see that it was abided by. We hadn't scored in the preceding 119 minutes. What made you think we would score in the last minute?

GeneralCartmanLee 313
Also highlighted the fact they kicked the ball out for a shy instead of giving it back to us in the first half.......
MayboleLoyal_atb 3,765
Yep was raging about that at the time. Ferguson seemed set on giving it to Papac (I think) then after a word with McCoist he gave it to Davis who gave it back.

rfc_no1fan 13
He was told to do it by the management. Thats why he threw the ball down into the ground, he wasnt happy with it
bluenoz 31,087
it was actually a foul throw. He threw it in anger suggesting that he may have been told to give it back by Walter who was close by !!

ShootSpeedKillLight 0
If it was a genuine injury I wouldn't mind it, but considering it was a result of them cheating to waste time, it sticks in the throat a bit. I suppose at least we can show a modicum of deceny in defeat though, which is more than anyone can say for that shower of shite.

Absolute madness it was, I remember the very same McCoist at firhill one night, think it was 1-1, same thing only he didn't return the ball and we scored with just about the last kick of the ball 2-1, this sort of ''standard'' is for losers, cowards and people you wouldn't want to be in battle with ! ShootSpeedKillLight 0
Was he not injured, i thought he went off (was at the game) He went off, but the cynic in me suggests they were just trying it on to waste time. Haven't seen it on tv yet myself (and don't plan on it), but I wouldn't put it past the scum to cheat and run down the clock as much as possible. simplythebest 11,453
It's become an unwritten rule, the whole sportsmanship thing is expected and you get pelters if you don't do it. They had little or no choice.
MayboleLoyal_atb 3,765
Pissed me off more as earlier Fergie had to push Lemon out the way to get the ball as the ginger cunt was trying to hold it.
kplfishtank 4,662
wasnt too happy but i think if fergie threw it into the box the ref would have given them a foul as they do when they realise theyve given a corner instead of a goal kick
cooper1989 0
Well done Barry -- showed class. And as stated above. We have now gone 300 minutes without scoring against the scum. Highly unlikely we were going to anyway. That's the bigger issue here folks. haven't scored against them since the 4-2 game.

Shows sportsmanship and I was happy to see that it was abided by. We hadn't scored in the preceding 119 minutes. What made you think we would score in the last minute? 100% agree with this. donegal_ger 253
I'm sure about 10 mins from the end of extra time one of their players went down on the edge of their box and the ball made its way back to McGregor the ref stopped the game for treatment he then gave a bounce ball and told the celtic player to play it back to McGregor but he played it out for a throw near the corner flag then they forced us back into the corner, after that for the rest of the game sportsmanship should have gone out the window.
