I agree with Davis in the center, but I think Walter will want Davis protecting Whittaker and the protection of McCulloch in midfield. :anguish:

if we dont have davis in the middle the ball go's from side to side, untill it gets to davis no the right who plays it to whittaker to go down the line.

He does, and, he speaks sense about Wilson!

And my advice to Walter Smith would be to name the youngster in his starting line-up and see if he has what it takes to come out the other end.

There is nothing that makes me fear he doesn't have the attributes to hold his own at that level.

He is a wall, no movement, just stands there and does fuck all.

That's not true at all, McCulloch -albeit hopelessly - does try really hard.

Hide And Seek tries hard?

I don't think so.

He's hopeless, he's defensive, and he can't do the basics.

But he runs a lot.

I don't think he does, it's another McCulloch myth.

A must win game, we can surely expect a team full of attacking intent ready to go from the first whistle...

You'd hope so.

I'd rather lose 3-0 by attacking them, than lose 1-0 from sitting back.

There's no need/time/reason for us to 'keep it tight' at any point, except from the five minutes after we score each goal :pipe:

Allegedly the team according to the Daily Rebel has McCulloch and Rothen in a 5 man midfield with Miller on his own up front. :anguish::drool:

If true it's exactly the tactics and personnel we need in a must win game.

Oh and Wilson is also allegedly playing beside Weir.

If this is true then Smith wants hounded out of Ibrox asap.

His performance at Tannadice last season was one of the most disgraceful I've ever seen from a Rangers player. Quite literally hiding in positions where he knew the ball wouldn't be passed to him. Of course I could be doing him a favour there by suggesting he actually has a footballing brain.

Anyway for once (in Europe) I think we go with a 4-4-2 with Boyd starting. He's done well the past few games, and apart from Naismith none of our other strikers have managed any kind of performance in Europe.

Just saw on SSN, Davie Weir again training alongside Danny Wilson, as if they were trying to gain more understanding of each other. I am 99.9% certain Danny Wilson will be alongside Davie Weir tonight in defence. (tu)

You might be reading too much into it, but its certainly a sign that Weir is tutoring Wilson. I also think the lad might play tonight too though.

You're probably right, just really determined McCulloch won't play in defence.

Asked the bookie for a price on Wilson starting, he just laughed and said you can have 100/1 for him to score the first goal.

Thats cause they'd never have gave a price for someone starting.
