You actually aren't the first person I have heard saying this.

A few members of my family went to every away game in the UEFA Cup run that year and they rank manchester as the worst of them all because of all the day trippers, drunks and clingers on who probably had a passing interest in Rangers before Manchester and have probably only had a passing interest since then.

i agree with you completely. the numbers are always talked down for some reason and i wouldn't be surprised if there was half a million there. unfortunately we will never know though. one thing is for sure there was more than 100 thousand there. one reason i think the numbers are talked down i think is because people want to sound more level headed than the taigs but to say there was only 100 thousand there is silly. anyone who drove down on the day knows there was far more than that.
