As SunSport revealed last week the Turkish champions are closing in on the former Rangers star. And after finally landing his ex-Ibrox strike partner Miller in a £500,000 deal last night, Bursa will now make it their mission to secure Boyd too. Boyd's Middlesbrough career is now all but over after just five goals in 25 games, with boss Tony Mowbray keen to dump him off the wage bill. He has been told he can leave the struggling Championship club and the fact NO fee would be involved has brought Bursaspor back to the table. Boyd has been alerted to the possibility of a move to Turkey and last night he was waiting by the phone. Bursaspor want him to link up with Miller again in a partnership which spawned 46 goals between them as Rangers swept to the SPL title last season. It's understood that Boyd could now be offered the same mega-bucks deal which tempted Miller away from Ibrox. And he would jump at the chance to kickstart his career alongside his old pal after his Riverside adventure went stale. There's no doubt the former Killie man played his best football up front alongside Miller. Now they've added Miller, I don't think they'll be looking to add more attackers. Saglam, their manager, said openly at the beginning of the window, they wanted Miller and a defender.Apparently, Shota Arveladze is still sniffing around him. He's Kayserispor manager.
