Same cash for as much as 40% less work. And for a standard of play that would struggle to make it past the first round of the mens game.

Equality at work.

Many of the women have offered, in fact demanded to be allowed to play best of five set matches. I don't see why anyone would be bothered that they get paid the same except the womens players themselves.

Same prize money for less in a substantially lesser competition.

Seems fair? Not to me.

Are the men complaining? And if they were, should we sympathise with millionaires complaining that a million quid for around 20 hours work is too little?

The female prize money has been raised. The men's hasn't been lowered. Nobody loses. What's the problem?
