DAVID HEALY is set to sign up for Rangers for another season to bolster Ally McCoist's striking options.

The Nothern Ireland star had limited involvement in the second half of last season but is now fully fit and ready to play his part.

It is expected that paperwork will be completed this afternoon and we will bring you the news when we get it.

Meanwhile discussions are continuing with Davie Weir over another year for the remarkable captain of last season.

It may be next week before a resolution is reached but coach Ian Durrant would certainly welcome his involvment.

He said today: "Davie is a great person about the dressing room and has been our leader for the last four years. Hopefully he and the boss can come to an agreement."

Kerkar and Healy, well hallefuckinlujah. Two players who made a massive massive impact last season. All we need now is Weir to sign on for a decade and Broadfoot and McCulloch to get new deals.

Steven Davis and McGregor will welcome the clubs forward thinking and ambition and sign new deals straight away on reduced terms, Whittaker is going to pay Craig Whyte to play for The Rangers Football Club because he wants to play alongside the worlds best.

Your forgetting McCulloch and Broadfoot already signed extensions.

So that's no contributors

Broadfoot

McCulloch

Healy

Kerkar

And most likely Little taking up 5 squad places despite being equally turgid .

Excellent news.

Let's just give away wages to Kerkar, Weir and Healy when only 1 will be anywhere near our starting eleven.

Then have the cheek to come out and say we won't waste money on our signing targets? Id rather have used those wages to sign Goodwillie than have those three back at the club.

I think these contracts were always on the cards regardless of what is happening with transfers else where, boosts our squad numbers.

Have patience. They will come.

Aye let's release them and have an even smaller squad.

Apparently Healy was carrying an injury for most last season. Maybe McCoist thinks we'll get more game time from him next time around? Difficult to be too bothered about Healy either way without really seeing him. The Kerkar one is a mystery though.
