They also played a gruelling match on Thursday while Siena had a weeks rest and no major absentees. As you said they beat Inter, they also beat Sampdoria drew away to a Bologna, so an upturn in form.Also they wouldn't have been bottom prior to the match if it wasn't for their 6 point penalty.I don't see how it makes Serie A 'strange league'.
