Something dodgy going on?

With all these players saying they will not accept transfer of contracts to newco, is there something going on that we don't know about? I mean, Mcgregor, Davis, Lafferty, Naismith?? All Rangers fans!! All in the first group to leave!! All without making any money for the club!

However, McCulloch and Wallace saying they will stay suggests otherwise! Are these players just looking out for number one and guaranteeing a higher signing on fee?!

One things for sure, it's hard to watch as your team just falls apart!

I can't think of a reason why doing what they have done is good in anyway whatsoever. Green owns the club. Their actions are making it far more difficult for the club to rebuild.

After their efforts at the end of last season they have failed to follow through. It would appear all in the name of greed.

I thought this as well but why wouldn't they just tell you straight at the press conference instead of embarrassing themselves the way they did the other day?

The only thing I can think of, and it is most probably me just trying to grasp on to a last bit of hope... But by all these players saying they are not accepting new contracts would then make the club less lucrative and would cut the sell on price for say... Mr Smith, Park etc.

It would be fantastic if we could get as many fans as possible to turn up at auchenhowie and just applaud every player that turns up for training

Well it's all been stranger than fiction so far. I suppose anything is possible. Fucked if I know what's going on.

No, just looking after No.1. Disappointed that they could not help the club one last time by allowing a transfer fee but I suspect money is their god. If we were just in div 1 for one season, what would have been the big deal about seeing us back up in one go?

My view of footballers as a "professional" class is now approaching that of politicians....

It's the McGregor one thats getting me.

He's been here since he was a boy, 100% Rangers man who has said that he wants to end his career with us, I have no reason to doubt that with him just signing a 5yr contract. He could've left many times, so clearly isn't motivated by money.

So what exactly is his motivation?

This isn't looking good.
