 Doncaster said the SPL is coping without Rangers obviously they are not and he another lying cunt. Every league in the world must be laughing at the SPL especially the no mark fans. They would rather say there teams all go bust just as long as Rangers are not in the league.   Well done you shower of fannys it looks like yous have all just put your clubs into admin. And the difference between us and yous you's will never survive it and come back.

As much as I love to read about it, I don't see how they can possibly predict on the whole the state of the Club's finances when they only included 6 in the survey. It doesn't give you a wide enough scope even though 83% (5 teams) said they were up shit creek without a paddle.

Hearts, St. Mirren, Dundee United, Kilmarnock and Inverness are probably the closest to the brink. Motherwell will be doing alright after their cup defeat at Ibrox. Inverness will get a boost come Halloween and fuck knows who else throughout the year.

Anyway, the sooner the game is reconstructed the better imo. The game is on life support up here because of the two fuck wits that are being controlled by the puppet master. If things continue it will only get worse, it needs to change for the better.

Only 6 SPL sides took part in the survey. Assuming Celtic did (PKF and Charles Barnett are their auditors) then they are the 1 out of 6 (17%) who said everything is just fine. So a more accurate way of presenting the survey would be "every team except Celtic fear for their financial lives".

And they only have a serendipitous champions league qualification draw to thank for that.

Has anyone (Bears Den, media, spl or club chairmen) attempted to quantify the loss of revenue to the SPL clubs this season without Rangers? Has anyone compared SPL teams attendances with last seasons to see if our absence has had any effect? I suppose each club would be different especially top/bottom six but it would be interesting to see how much financial damage has been done. (I'm sure I read each club gets a share of £1.5 million this season because of them in CL, that would take some of the sting out of their hurt).

What happened the last time hearts were late with thr payment? Punished? Sporting integrity?

Hearts will pay as it's just a game to them, yet this is ok

They were given a super secret transfer embargo under new rules drafted for this year, was reported a couple of days ago, believe it is still in place, no official statement over it by SPL or Hearts, was reported on one of the news sites

"STV understands six of John McGlynn's squad are yet to receive their September salaries, which fell due on October 16. The manager is also yet to receive his wages.

The matter will be discussed at a scheduled meeting of the SPL board on Monday.

As per league rules, it is understood the Gorgie club are in the process of detailing in writing to the SPL which players have not been paid. It is understood they have already notified the league verbally.

Regulation A6.22 states Hearts have two days to tell the SPL who is yet to receive their salary, as well as detailing the amount outstanding.

Hearts are already subject to a signing ban, automatically imposed by the league when they failed to pay salaries on time in September.

Rule A6.21 outlines it is now a breach of league regulations not to pay players in line with their contracts.

It states: "Except in circumstances where there is a bona fide dispute as to liability for payment by the Club, where the Club is entitled to deduct or otherwise withhold payment of a sum otherwise due or where the Club takes, suffers or is subject to an Insolvency Event, any Club which shall fail to pay any sum due by it to a Player under and in terms of that Player’s Contract of Service and/or any sum due by it under a contract of employment to any Club Official engaged in football management and/or football coaching (a “Remuneration Default”) shall be in breach of these Rules."

But the one that really had me rolling about with laughter, was this part of Dungcasters statement

"Doncaster, who highlighted this season's top-flight Dundee and Highland derbies as compensating for the loss of Rangers, feels the retention of commercial partners has been crucial to the SPL's continued stability."

It does look like there is a lot of trouble to come, but in a strange socialist sort of way, I'm glad there's adownward presure on footballers wages.

If they want to piss off down to sit on the bench of some lower tier English clubs so be it, but even those clubs will begin to feel the pinch and hopefully there will be more realistic wages paid in the future.

The ELP in a mutant in football, IMO.

I dont have an ounce of sympathy for the SPL or any club playing in that league, other than maybe Kilmarnock. In fact I will celebrate when the first SPL club goes under, and then the next.

I dont expect the SPL/SFA to treat any other club going into admin as badly as they treated us but ill be happy in knowing that they are reeping what they sow.

Sc

Scottish Premier League chief executive Neil Doncaster believes member clubs have "adapted remarkably well" to Rangers' absence from the top flight.

Rangers were relaunched by a new company after the former incarnation could not be saved from liquidation.

“All of our major partners and major sponsors, they've stuck with the SPL”

Neil Doncaster SPL chief executive

The club was subsequently placed in Division Three, making SPL season 2012-13 the first without Rangers.

"We've had to re-invent ourselves but that's happened pretty quickly and clubs have adapted," said Doncaster.

"It was a traumatic summer for everyone involved in the game in Scotland. We were delighted to see the season get under way and the focus be back on football once again.

"There'd been so much discussion around the whole Rangers situation. To get the season under way, to then be looking forward rather than back was a great relief for everyone.

"The SPL and the clubs have adapted remarkably well to what people really couldn't ever see happening.

"It was such an unforeseeable thing that one of the major houses, the economic power houses, in Scottish football should suddenly be out of the SPL.

"I don't think anyone around the world who you speak to can quite believe that what happened happened, but it did."

Doncaster, who highlighted this season's top-flight Dundee and Highland derbies as compensating for the loss of Rangers, feels the retention of commercial partners has been crucial to the SPL's continued stability.

"There is absolutely an economic knock-on effect at the club level," Doncaster told BBC Radio 5live.

"All of our major partners and major sponsors, they've stuck with the SPL and that's enabled the clubs and the league to go forward with huge confidence.

"People had the opportunity to walk away over the summer and chose not to. They've stuck with the league and that's important."

The OP story makes a mockery of the above.

Only 17 per cent said their financial situation was “healthy” – the lowest of any of the leagues questioned.

83% therefore must be unhealthy???

17% translates to 2 healthy clubs and TEN who do not have healthy bank accounts......... watch the dominoes tumble.....

Only 6 SPL clubs took part in the survey which means a number of things.

17% translates to 1 out of the 6 who believe there financial situation is healthy. I guess this would be Celt1C.

IMO it is likely that the 4 clubs who did not take part are also likely to be in an unhealthy position, so 9 out of 10 unhealthy.

Also I get the impression from the article that the survey was taken a while ago, before the Rangers demotion decision was taken. Things can only be worse then they originally thought

I have rumours they received a transfer ban, but since they did not buy anyone all summer it made no difference.
